Didn't the Niners get one for losing Saleh to the Jets? I thought they did. https://ninerswire.usatoday.com/sto...hire-and-lose-robert-saleh-again/77940817007/. I just saw they got the picks because he was a minority hire. Unfortunately, Kubiak doesn't qualify in that case.Comp picks are reserved for losing players. To get draft picks for coaches there would need to have been a lateral move. And I’ve only heard about that from head coach to head coach. If there’s a promotion there is no compensation. Necessary.
Minority coaches who have been with the team at least 2years and move up get the team they are coming from a pick.Didn't the Niners get one for losing Saleh to the Jets? I thought they did.

Is that where we are as a Society?
I get it, I think it's a good rule, I'm just frustrated that we seem to be the only team in the division that hasn't benefitted tremendously from it.You get comp picks for losing minority coaches or executives who become head coaches or GMs for other teams, if the coach/exec has been with your team for at least two years.
The idea is to reward teams for developing people who otherwise might not get a shot.
If/when Aden Durde becomes an NFL HC (in 2027??), we will benefit from the rule.I get it, I think it's a good rule, I'm just frustrated that we seem to be the only team in the division that hasn't benefitted tremendously from it.
