Def. a strange pick at the time, and it seems to be proving to not be a good one. So far at least.
Today... I would take Chase Brown in a heartbeat over Charbs... and never look back.To be fair, the 2023 RB class is looking pretty awful after the two first-rounders ..., but among guys taken after Charbs, you had Tayjae Spears and De'Von Achane in the third, Chase Brown in the fifth, and Keaton Mitchell was undrafted.
I've always *wanted* to like him.Outside of some nice stiff arms when he's in the open field (which is rare), I'm not really sure he's offering anything. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
If he wants that kind of volume, he'll have to go back in time. The only RB in the league even averaging 20 carries per game is Joe Mixon at 21.4. We have too many gifted weapons to justify giving Charbs 30 carries to "get him going". He needs to figure it out earlier if he wants to make it in the modern NFL.We're not using him enough. If they run him 20 - 30 times a game, he'll really get going. Grubb just doesn't know how to call a running game yet.
He's not even a reliable short yardage back. How many 3 or 4 and 1s has he failed to convert. Last Sunday he failed on 4th and inches.I like Charbonnet a lot he’s more of a short yardage back anyways. Good special teams player and a tough runner. He had a nice game earlier this year when Walker was out I think it was the Patriots game
Mackintosh should be our number two until we get a real OLine. You need backs that can make people miss in this offense. Charbs is not that kind of back. He needs holes and running lanes to be effective. We don't have those here.
Has McIntosh even shown he can "make people miss"?Mackintosh should be our number two until we get a real OLine. You need backs that can make people miss in this offense. Charbs is not that kind of back. He needs holes and running lanes to be effective. We don't have those here.
