Explain. It was the second game in a row where the team looked oddly unfocused and loaded up with individual mistakes and injury repercussions, and it's more than the second game where the defense forced our passing game to start thinking intermediate or go home.

Okay, now is where we get into the meat of the discussion. If you want to argue that the team had some uncharacteristic mistakes/gaffes that need to be corrected, then awesome. If you want to talk about how injuries along the O-line have impacted the way the offense is performing, you'll have some valid evidence. If you want to talk about how a slate of strong defenses going against that patchwork O-line have resulted in some tough games for our offense, and how you're concerned about the offensive playcalling maybe failing to address that reality, go for it.

But when you start yapping about "we almost lost at home to Ryan Fitzpatrick," that's when you go overboard and start sounding like the doom-and-gloom guy you were before. Ryan Fitzpatrick didn't do jack against us. The Titans offense didn't do jack. If we HAD lost at home (which, for the record, we TOTALLY DIDN'T), it wouldn't have been "losing to Fitzpatrick."

And you damn well know that. You're just using an inflammatory soundbyte for effect, and it's a load of crap.

Yep, I am inclined to say you are in this case. Your viewpoint on the situation is a bit overly pessimistic. Think of it this way, we had a comfortable lead midway in the 4th quarter. Ignoring the hijinks, fumbles, and totally bizarre shit happening (it happened to Fitz a couple times too, with his Mudbone impersonations), I would say we did pretty well in that game.

Well, that's the thing. A few of us are looking at the offense in a vaccuum and judging it without worrying about the score, our record, or our defense. We're just looking at the offense and have identified a few areas of concern. But, there's a lot of blow black from people who just parrot our record and how we would have won by more if not for this-and-that which had nothing to do with our offense. It's damn near impossible to talk about it without people getting in a tizzy and firing back that we need to shut up because we're 5-1 and didn't let the Titans in the end zone. Straw man's are alive and well at .net.

I guess we have a different definition of "almost lost." Almost losing IMO, is stopping a late 4th quarter drive for the go ahead score. The Seahawks Never trailed in the 4th qtr. The defense gave up 3 points in the 2nd half.

Even with all the mistakes this game was never in serious doubt.

So, I did my homework. Again, why shouldn't I be a bit concerned?

No one here is saying WE SUCK, BLOW IT UP. Well, maybe a couple of trolls, but no one takes them seriously. Someone was saying that Russell Wilson sucked last week, apparently. Somehow. I don't know how anyone could possibly come up with that after watching him kill it. Open up your thinking a bit. We're supposed to have one of the top 2-3 defenses in the league, and we played at home, and Fitzpatrick is a backup QB.
