Young who's batting literally .120 the past month and a half gets 5 at bats today. It's shocking Edgar and Seitzer let this happen.

They might as well put a man on third instead of second for our extra inning at bat. It doesn't matter. We don't know how to get a guy in from third.

Young on the season, .215 BA, .308 OBP, .617 OPS.

Rivas on the season, .278 BA, .409 OBP, .756 OPS.

Yet Young starts at 2B tonight and Rivas sits on the bench. Makes no sense whatsoever. Especially with how bad Young has been struggling lately. Rivas is just a straight up better player right now, and it isn't close.

OMG! If we don't win this now, I'm to bed. I'll see what happened in the morning.

(and yes, I'm aware that quoting my own post is the height of douchebaggery, haha)

Wow, Rivas with a 2 run HR in the 13th.

Used about the whole bullpen, and maybe we need to start Ford tomorrow. Cal might use a rest.

Hard to sweep teams in MLB.

Naylor with a ton of reaches at 1st base, saved a lot of outs.

Angles coming to town tomorrow. No rest day.

That was some of the worst hitting I’ve seen with RISP by both teams.

Gilbert was not very good, got out of a lot of jams, including bases loaded no outs.

I like Young, but we are in a crucial playoff run and he isn’t playing good. Not sure he should start anymore games. He was awful in extras, failed to lay a bunt down and popped up and then next time up grounds into a double play. I think Rivas should take all his at bats from now on.

Can we PLEASE start playing the far superior player now? How is Young still getting starts at 2B over Rivas? My lord, what else does he have to do?

I know you can't tell because it doesn't work this way, but I'm mashing the ever loving f@ck out the like button on this post.

They're keeping Rivas as a utility player, I guess, but I'd be fine with him playing 2d base full time. He was playing well there early in the season and he's has been hitting well since he came back.

Never in doubt 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Holy hell, what a frustrating...win.
Great night at the ballpark. But FFS, leaving the bases loaded 3 times in 4 innings was maddening.

Win is a win

Couldn't agree more. Some of the swings were like....what in the actual hell are you swinging at. Just about everyone had UUUUUGLY at bats.

The fact that SoulfishHawk has to watch this abortion live is the only positive here.
Damn dude, that's cold. Pretty funny though. I had a blast. All while getting VERY pissed off, several times. Then laughing when the walk off happened 🤣
