9/21 96 yards and a pick, team is winning, but cam might be a bust. Anyone gonna ridicule me again for saying the panthers have an issue at QB, dude just isn't a winner

That front seven is no joke at home. Just looking at the stats, NY's RBs have -2 yards trough the first half. That's a good team.

What are you going to say, when he gets paid handsomely after next season?
Cam has really been playing QB for 3 years. It is going to take years for him to become adept and proficient. I'm sure the Panthers understood it, when they drafted him. After 1 year, some people expected him to be Manning or Brady.
I'm not sure why people keep hammering on Cam, when there are guys like Stafford or Bradford who have not accomplished much either. But those 2 guys have actually been playing QB for twice as long as Cam. People need to just leave Cam Newton alone.

Looks fine to me, especially considering his only weapon is an old Steve Smith and has had to switch offensive coordinators. Give him some consistency and some weapons before writing him off.

I'll ridicule you, yes.

The Panthers have an issue at WR (nobody outside of Steve Smith), in the secondary, and on the coaching staff. Newton definitely can play better, and he needs to develop the mental toughness that Russell seems to have in spades. But he's got more natural and physical ability than just about any QB in the league. If Newton had Russell's intangibles, every record would fall.

The Panthers have never had a decent defense. This is the first time they do. People need to give Rivera and Cam Newton the weapons. Their roster has really been bad. They are paying 2 RBs load of money. They need receivers and safety help and at least a good TE.

Huge downfield bomb for Cam to Ted Ginn. Four touchdowns now.

The Panthers need to be patient. They're hitting on first round picks. Go out and get a couple of receivers, improve that secondary and they're a force.

The critics of Cam will say "But the Giants are a bad team and have given up already " ...

38-0. Panthers are a good team. They would have beaten Buffalo on the road if Rivera wasn't an utter moron in the final two minutes of games.

We should all feel quite good about the Week 1 victory.

The Panthers defense is one of the 5 best in the league. If they could only get a safety.

They were still starting Haruki Nakamura back there before he got hurt, and Nakamura is basically Brian Russell, NFC South Version.

So yeah, they need to badly get a safety in the 2014 draft. That and some guys who can be immediate playmakers at WR. Maybe explore a trade for Gordon, as Gordon is one issue away from missing a whole season and should be relatively cheap for that reason.

Don't know if the guy is a straight up bust, he's got sick talent and can put up numbers when things are going his way, but I know I feel okay about going against him in a close game or a game where he's had some adversity.
