It's always brutal when the loss is to the f*cking Niners but what pissed me off was that our Defense held those f*ckers to 17 points.

But we could only manage 13 against them.

This was pathetic.

Defense deserved better than this sh*t. They picked off Brock Purdy twice....

Also, Kenneth Walker was just completely ineffective.

10 carries for just 20 freakin' yards?

SAM DARNOLD HAD 2 CARRIES FOR *14* in comparison!!! 🤦‍♂️

Walker should be EMBARASSED.

Ugh...

This absolutely sucked.

Yes, I know the offense needs work...badly.

I was just hopeful they can hit the ground running but they just hit the ground. 😔

BTW, speaking of Sam, he wasn't terrible (he completed almost 70% of his passes) but he (and Kubiak...ESPECIALLY Kubiak) needs to go back to the drawing board and figure this sh*t out before the season starts spiraling out of control. (oh and stop with the fumbles, please)

Now they have a very tough game on the road in Pissburgh (who will have their home opener against us) but right now, I'm just pissed that this could've been a statement game that things are going to be different this season.

Instead, it's more of the f*cking same.

Fortunately their kicker sucks or it would've been worse

Agree on Walker and Darnold. Charbonnet was the hot hand, why did they keep putting Walker in there who was giving up negative plays?

Also on Darnold: He looked rusty, but got it dialed in as the day went on. And 1 sack on 23 drop backs. When is the last time we had a game like that?

I forget. When he was sacked, was that when he fumbled and lost the ball? (I'm trying to block this loss from my mind)

I don't remember a sack myself but I checked the box score. They credited it to Bosa. Maybe they are counting the fumble at the end -- even though Bosa didn't touch Darnold...

I don’t blame any season ticket holder if they sold all their tickets this year. What we saw is no diff then Grubbs offense today. It’s the HC. He must be telling them to run this style. It was awful. And you will see next week the same thing. Over and over. Zero trust in this coaching staff. ZERO!

I really REALLY hope MacDonald was not in favor of this. I hope he verbally tore a new a-hole in Kubiak in the locker room after the game....right after he did the same to Kenneth Walker was an absolute embarrassment of an NFL Running Back today.

Of course Macdonald approved of the game plan. Coordinators don't run the team, the head coach does. If Macdonald isn't looking over every aspect of the preparation, he isn't doing his job. Coordinators play a big role, but the head coach is making the most important decisions.

Let's burn our Seahawks jerseys after game one . New offense , QB,,coordinator, line etc .. the offense will come around .

The defense played well ( Woolen is a mental midget ) . Blocked a FG
On ST.

San Francisco was going to lie down and let Seattle do as they wished ? This is a damn good team even if I hate to admit it. I really dislike them but I think Seattle has closed the gap.

I'm moving on ,

Yup, it's only one game. Let's not over-react.

In this era, the first game of the season is almost like the last preseason game, or what the last preseason game used to be, a chance for the starters to play and figure out what we have.

First game of the season, but also the coordinator and the quarterback, it’s basically everyone’s first day, and if we were trying to do what we wanted and couldn’t I’d be worried, but we were not doing that. I don’t know what the hell we were doing. Next week needs to look like a different team or the coordinator needs to go and I am actually putting Mike Macdonald on a short leash for me. This is his offense. He wanted all these tight ends and full backs. We are a power run team and yesterday they forgot that shit. If I see that crap again I’m done. I am burned out on mediocrity cause I’ve been watching the mariners all season. Mike needs to take accountability for what this team is doing on the field. He can’t just run the defense and leave quality control of the offense up to someone else and I know all the way to my core what Mike wants this offense to look like and we have the guys to do it. I’m not worried about the defense except riq woolen. He single-handedly blew that defensive drive at the end and he was not in the wrong spot. He is soft. There is no time for soft you get one chance and you spike that ball into the bleachers like you were Richard Sherman and then you say NEVER TRY ME WITH A SORRY ASS BENCH TIGHT END!!!

That dude never caught a pass in his life before yesterday and he took that ball away from rique like a 13 yr old bully ripping down the tether ball

One play away from winning this game
And then the .NET horde would be in here getting ready to polish the Lombardi and make parade plans.

After 20+ seasons here I should be used to it.

Don't get me wrong , I was a little upset , but I'm older now and have moved forward. I trust MM will get this all figured out. It is his second season as a HC after all. I'm thinking he has a desire to win .

A lot will happen over the next 6-8 weeks then we'll really know what we have . Until then I'm not too worried about it.

Just want to clarify for everyone that when I created this thread, my goal wasn't to say "well...the season is over".

It was just to voice displeasure at the team's performance in particular the Offense.

Of course there's 16 more games left to right the ship.

But damn...this wasn't the start we were looking for.
