One good thing about Bruce, he is vocal and loud, may be he is just the right dude in defense meetings, or LB meetings. Someone that fire at will, and do not mind a push back.

There are LB with 4.9 sec speed but still contribute to their team success, on the other hand, we have Barton, who was 4.64, but seldom arrive at the right spot at the right time.

Yeah, true. Bruce's injury is what forced their hand into moving KJ to SAM in 2020, where he played an on-ball role like a Mafe or Irvin would play now. Couldn't believe how well he did.

That's true, but it's the visual that this signing represents makes me shake my head in disbelief. Irvin will turn 35 in less than three weeks, and he couldn't stop a runner when he was 24. Is our defense so bad that it makes this guy at his age appear as if he might be able to contribute to it?
