These kinds of things are weird. I remember when the curse was on teams with animals for mascots. Since the Dolphins perfect season, if a team with an animal mascot played a team with a human mascot, the animal lost. The exception was the 1985 Bears, but this trend went for a long time until the 1997 Broncos broke it. Since that time, however, only the Rams and Ravens have beaten non-animal mascots in the Super Bowl (Rams over Titans, Ravens over Giants, 49ers).
What does it mean? Nothing.
To be fair, the only other animal mascot to win in the 21st Century is the Colts, but they were also playing an animal, the Bears.
What does it mean? Nothing.
I believe this Super Bowl is only the third time two animal mascots have met (Broncos v. Falcons, Colts v. Bears, Seahawks v. Broncos).
What does it mean? Nothing.
