that s hould be cool.

I wish there was a way to get local guys to do the regular season broadcasts. So tired of the scrubs that usually do our games.

I like Brock a lot. I'd actually listen to ESPN Seattle from time to time to hear his takes. That asshole he cohosted with (the one that left for Boston) was an absolute idiot tho. How does that guy have a sports broadcasting career?

Meh he didn't really seem like he knew what he was talking about. He was just emotional

Salk was the perfect fit for brock, they made a great odd couple but danny , while I read a lot of his articles he is singlehandedly the reason I don't listen religiously at all anymore.
Instead of coming up with an odd sports article from anywhere in the world like salk would, danny sits there and says OK lynch, why are you not at involuntary otas as if he had nothing to deal with
I didn't like salk at first either but he grew on me bigtime, I miss that s.o.b.

Can he please replace moon permanently?
Ya, I'd take Brock as the radio announcer paired with Raibs during the regular season over Moon any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

Um, yeah. Doesn't sound like you were listening then.

Salk was great. And he actually made Brock a lot better than he is on his own. Brock and Danny isn't terrible. But it's not the same as Brock and Salk was. O'Neil doesn't have the radio chops on how to properly set Brock up. B&S was BY FAR the best local radio show for Hawk talk. During football season, those dudes talked Hawks 95% of the time, breaking down every aspect of the game. It's a huge loss to local radio for football season.

And Brock Huard in the booth for regular season games would be A MILLION times better than Warren Moon. AN ACTUAL MILLION TIMES.

Agree thoroughly with SeaTown. Not to mention that Salk was by far the best baseball guy in town. He wasn't even that good, but the competition amongst SPORTS TALK RADIO in Seattle is mind-blowingly bad.

Huard is very good and will do well in the booth. I would not be surprised at some point he transitions to it full time. He seems to struggle a bit at times as the #1 on the radio show. Salk was a natural , but IMO never really brought any insights to football that I found all that great. He was very good on baseball

Danny O' was an excellent writer for the Times. He is growing into the job and tries very hard ( too hard at times ) to be the contrary view point. Notice how well he does when Brock is away , he is much better I believe.

The 2 of them still are by far better than the afternoon gang. I find the Groz show boring and don't listen to it any longer

Though Warren fumbles words, he really does know his football. He and Steve seem to have good rapport.

Salk was freakin' fantastic. That guy knows sports, and can add original thought. Mitch, and sometimes Jim Moore, are the only folks left in this town capable of doing that.

I'm sorry, but Brock Huard is terrible. The day he says something profound will be his first. And I liked Brock as a player and as a guy. But he is just awful. I just hate when you can tell he's starting to ramp up. It makes my skin crawl, it is so, so terrible. "So you're tellin me, that Pete Carroll, with all his rah-rah, and all his compete, and John Schneider with all his film study, and all his scouting, and all these hungry players and all his this and all his that........" "And Jim Harbaugh with all his this and all his this and all his this and all his this....."

You could tell that Salk had complete disdain for having to act like he agreed with some of the thoughtless points out there. "I see what you're saying and I agree with this part, but....."

I know somebody out there knows what I'm talking about.

X's and O's? Brock knows them, but he doesn't get into them, and when he does, he doesn't communicate them well. His sense of humor is better than I thought. But he brings zero original thought to sports, and isn't good enough at the radio thing to get by on style. And I was hoping Danny would be better than he is. To me, that show is a complete and utter trainwreck now. I hate to say it, but it is time for another import.

Wait, better than Warren Moon? Moon isn't great, but he thinks.

LOL, if you want someone to say something profound, then you don't want Warren Moon.

I sure do miss Salk, Danny O is horrible.

Brock should be good in the booth - he is for college games.

My Mom and Dad absolutely love Warren Moon as a commentator. They are always talking about stuff he says, or how excited he gets. His word is gospel to them.

I get tired of Warren's off-air antics and how he fumbles around sometimes. I really miss Pete Gross/Steve Raible (that's what I grew up with). I think I would love Steve Raible and Brock Huard. However, I think Brock Huard wants a TV gig.
