The front office makes a lot of mistakes in personnel, it is just masked by some spectacular scouting work in the draft.

Letting Bradford and Brooks go was probably stupid.

I believe Brooks was cut from PS today.

I'm not really concerned about that. PC/JS like to play musical chairs on the PS.

Maybe he is indirectly suggesting that the release of Books opens a practice squad spot for Bradford

Always amazes me how much hand wringing we always do over the 50-55th guys on the roster.

I'm curious to see what happens with Howard and Bradford. Brooks too, if another team ends up signing him off our PS.

I believe Brooks was cut from PS today.

Yep. Ryan Seymour is back.

Brooks and Bradford have done nothing other than look OK in preseason. Fans fall in love with players extreme easy and players equally fall from grace with fans just as easy. I remember all the grief Unger was getting but that sure changed. The FO has been pretty good at making things work out. Not perfect but pretty darn good.

Bradford isn't going anywhere. There's no way they release him unless they've already got a promise in place to bring him right back in a week or two. They needed another TE on the active roster for this week's game due to the uncertainly of Luke Willson's minor injury. Kellen Davis is a 1-2 week blocking stop-gap. Bradford just gets to sit one the beach for a few days. This stuff happens all the time.

Channel 83 syndrome!!!! ( I can't even remember his name)

Honestly, Bradford will probably be back next week or the week afterwards. Defensively, more nickle type packages will be used this week I would guess, so a guy who only plays ILB does not have much of a shot of getting on the field unless its ST's. If something happens to Wagner, I would anticipate KJ moving over and one of the LEO hybrids playing KJ's spot...... who knows maybe this week is the return of the true 7 DB bandit package.

One defensive package we never saw last week (that I recall anyway) was the 3- down DL package with the stand up DL (the spinner), that may come back with one LB and 6 DB's

Pearson doesn't get cut probably due to line play last week, and isnt he the only backup tackle that is healthy right now? He may still be used as the 3rd TE. The new TE may not be active this week, it may take him a week or so to get things figured out.

I would have thought Lotu or Ware would have went first, but we don't know what goes on in meeting etc.

I liked Bradford's hard hitting. But this is WAAAAY too much hand-wringing. Come on guys. We should know better by now than to get too married to anyone at the end of the roster.

What's interesting to me is what this says about how they feel about Lotulelei. Bradford was on the active roster over Lotu last week, yet they kept Lotu. They already paid the largest UDFA $ to get the guy. So they clearly like something a lot about the dude. And it's not like the team didn't like Bradford either. I recall Norton really talking him up in the preseason. Back end roster move or not, it's interesting at the very least.

And how long until we hear that Jax and Gus claimed Bradford?

Go Hawks.

They've done some great stuff, but they've also had their share of screw-ups, particularly in the draft, IMO.

Of course they've missed in the draft, no one is perfect, but saying something like this is like criticizing a batter for only getting a hit 1/3rd of the times to the plate...

Dude wont make it off waivers. At the very least, 9ers will grab him. Thats their game. Thats what they do.

Ditto. I thought Lotulelie was a much more instinctive player than Bradford. Bradford is just a big hitter, and that's it. Bradford can easily be replaced with another former bigger hitter with minimal instincts like Aaron Curry.

Doesn't matter if he can get there and not make the tackle as I saw several times in the preseason. Against the Raiders, it was sad. He was just bouncing off guys and getting pushed down
