I have been preaching the whole off-season that our OL will shine in 2025. ESPN Chimed in now with Bradford.

That's some REALLY good news.

I was the one last season referring to him as an upside down Wobbling Weeble because he was carrying at least 30 extra pounds in his gut that contributed to his inability to anchor... and made him slow to react to quickness at the LOS. I'm excited to see him in action now.

There is more than one way to interpret "biggest" surprise. Hope any surprise Bradford produces is the kind that gets us all jumping for joy and not jumping up to throw things in disgust.

Correction:: Christian Haynes was a mid 3rd round pick (#91). Not that the order of past draft picks matter much once their made.

With regards to Anthony Bradford: Bradford's poor conditioning hurt the 2024 team. Although he may be headed in the right direction, he's well behind on where he should be with his development. Wishing John Benton all the best in helping Bradford get up to speed as a fit in the 2025 offensive line. Both have their work cut out for them.

Before this year's draft, I had our OL's floor at #15. After the draft and trades, I realized that Schneider identified Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Lockett as the reasons for our OL's struggles and traded away those three. I adjusted the floor to the top 12.

After reading this article, I am ready to adjust the floor again; now it is in the top 10 OL in 2025.

After reading this article, I am ready to adjust the floor again; now it is in the top 10 OL in 2025.

Quicker decisions at qb. I could see the Hyperbole behind us having the worst oline in the history of earth ending or least abating. 15th is a nice start.

As noted it wasn't a 2nd, but a third. Also, not wasted since Huff and Grubb were awful. Right now Haynes is with ones no matter how much Hawkblogger glazes Bradford.

Haynes was wide zone blocking specialist in college and the Hawks are moving to that scheme. Haynes can also pass block and Bradford has been a turnstile.

and all this means nothing until pads go on. competition is a good thing.

Well, that would be a surprise. I would be surprised if an improved Bradford, no matter how improved, plus a rookie guard somehow transforms this O-line from a bottom of the league unit to something significantly better.

I'm completely Pavlov'd into believing the OL can go nowhere-but-up and specific changes can/will have significant positive impact...then being disappointed. Since Walter Jones retired, It's 3 out of 4 years (or more) that the OL is obviously a weakness, it's addressed in the off season, there's optimism it will be a strength, it's still a problem...rinse and repeat.

I'm there again, but I'm also feeling a lot like Charlie Brown setting up for that yearly kick where Lucy pulls the football.
