They've done a bang-up job between 24' and 25' with the oline. Yeah, we got Bradford but when's the last time we only bitched about one guy on the oline?

They completely revamped the oline depth from 24' to 25' and that includes letting go a couple guys they drafted in 24' (Laumea, Jerrell) and replaced them with guys they drafted in 25' (Cabeldue, Richman, and UDFA Kight).

They signed Josh Jones and let George Fant and Stone Forsythe walk.

They actually let guys compete for their spots and found a starting center in Sundell. They didn't start Haynes just because they spent a 3rd rnd pick on the guy.

And off course the home run pick in Zabel.

They also got our two starting tackles extended.

You didn't see this kind of work under PC. They continue to work the roster to get better. Bang-up job.

It would be a crime not to take a RG at the 32nd pick in the next draft. SHOCKER, when you value the position you get results...and Super Bowl wins
Emmanuel Pregnon played LG for the Ducks, but he might be your guy. He looks like Bradford with movement skills...

Depending on whether we keep Jobe or Woolen, we might go Colton Hood or Brandon Cisse in that area too.

Is Murphy still a bust?
Asking for a friend.
Of course he is.
And JSN is only a slot and we f'd ourselves letting DK go.
And Sam is a choker and we f'd ourselves letting Geno go.
And JS hasn't done squat for our OL...Sundell needs to be upgraded.
And Walker needs to be benched.
And Jobe needs to be benched.
And Okada is our weak link.
And The Drake is too small.
And...And...

Let your friend know.

For those getting ready to say "Hey, enjoy the win"...this is one of the ways I do that.

JSs 1 and 2 round draft picks over the past few years have been crazy good. Obviously it's easier to "hit" picking high, but it seems like he hasn't "missed" in quite a while. Trading back used to be expected, but maybe that's changed too with changes in leadership.

There was always an amicable debate on who had greater influence and final say in the draft process during the last administration.

I’m sure it was shared, but there has definitely been a shift in early round strategy now that JS clearly holds the deciding vote.

I’m kind of leaning toward Pete trusting John in the later rounds, but being very particular on making sure he got who he wanted early.

Regardless, it sure has been nice to see a team build a tough, interior based football team as opposed to simply talking about it.

There's undoubtedly a learning curve too. JS probably is better at IDing talent as well as seeing red flags after 16 years. Whether it was Pete's influence or John getting better at being a GM, it's reasonable to expect the improvement to remain. I think Pete's influence on the Coach/GM relationship has been a big benefit to MMac and JS building a common vision. I don't know if I can back that up, but seems like their relationship was a strength.

He needs to avoid trading 1st round picks for veterans.
Percy Harvin.
Jimmy Graham.
Jamal Adams.

0/3, and there's no reason to ever try a 4th time.

This

I think it could be argued that the multiple trade backs didn't amount to much either. Good synopsis from Field Gulls here
