In the case of Bradford and Thomas, as third year players during the 2025 season, each earned a base salary of $1.03M. However, under the performance based pay system, each of Bradford and Thomas more than doubled their earnings, with each finishing among the top PBP bonus earners in the NFL during the year by taking home a bonus in the amount of:
  • Bradford: $1,098,394
  • Thomas: $1,022,512
The PBP amounts are considered a benefit rather than salary under the CBA, and as such do not count against the salary cap.

Heh, if Anthony Bradford earned a performance bonus, then I should be CEO of the company I work for.
Based on snaps played, but all the angst about him this year kind of goes against playing him that much, eh?

Thought he played decent down the stretch. He's still young.

I felt like he was a turnstile in pass protection and single handedly killed drives. Luckily for him he was surrounded was greatness.

Drake Thomas on the other hand, I’m thrilled he got a bonus and an extension. What a little beast out there.

Agree! 80’s post gave me a chuckle, but Bradford’s tape is much better than most have been exposed to. He was an absolute BULL in the run game and improved in pass pro.

They’ll always have competition in all positions , but Bradford might be harder to displace than many think.

I thought I heard the other day that Bradford is only 24. If so, he could have a lot of good football years ahead. He’s got a get better at recognizing what the defender wants to do and do a crap ton of speed drills this offseason to improve his quickness.

Again, it's purely about the amount of snaps played. It's not about quality. The NFL has also awarded Bradford a salary increase in 2026. His salary is now equal to that of a player given the original draft round RFA tag, ($3.674M). If Thomas had been drafted he would have been awarded the same salary. However, as an undrafted player the team had the RFA tag option if a new contract wasn't agreed upon. Bradford's contract isn't guaranteed so he might not end up getting the salary hike.

Bradford would be nice as a backup, but the false starts ALONE during the regular season were tough to endure. Blocking assignments on pass plays made him a liability.

We can upgrade the position.

Hats off to Bradford for stepping his game up.
2026 is his contract year and he can pave his own way with another year of solid improvement.

Agree. And if someone beats him out, then the competition worked. I never understand rooting against our players, especially this time of year, where there’s so much hope that coaching and personal growth could make them better.

He's ok. I'm not cutting him, but finding someone who can at least push him needs to be a priority. Haynes was a huge miss.

Criticizing his performance, in particular his glaring mistakes, isn't "rooting against him".

You think I and others WANT HIM to fail??? 🤨

I would've rather he NOT be a turnstile and play better so we aren't having this conversation about him.

The only thing he's solid at is run-blocking which is fine since that's supposed to be our identity anyway.

But you have to at least be passable in protecting the QB as well and he's been somewhat-lacking (to be nice) in that department.

I would love nothing better than for him to magically start moving laterally with effectiveness like some of the others on our line but so far, any improvement is pretty miniscule at this point.

On passing plays when an opponent is across from him, it's like he's asleep at the snap.

He literally can't react fast enough to slow down the defender. How is that correct-able???

Easy cowboy...appears this one hit a nerve.

Bradford improved in both run and pass game over the course of the season.

Performance Trajectory: Bradford's season was a tale of two halves. After struggling in the first two months, his play improved under offensive line coach John Benton.

PFF Grade Improvement: His weekly grades rose from an average of 18.0 in Weeks 1–8 to 79.8 after Week 9, and reached 87.1 after Week 13.
  • Reduced Pressure: He allowed 3 sacks in 2025 compared to 7 in 2024, despite playing significantly more snaps. His pressure rate for the season was 5% (Zabel 4.34%) finishing 20th for RG's, but his 2nd 1/2 of the season was significantly lower (top 10).
  • Reliability: He became a model of "elite availability," starting every game and playing 98% of the team's offensive snaps (1,223 total).

If the critical feedback is subjective/emotional, IMO inferring it as "rooting against the player" isn't out of line.

I can see not giving up on Bradford. When he's at his best he's an absolutely mauler and completely overwhelms anyone in his way. It's the plays, particularly in pass pro where he just seems to go in circles and looks lost that are frustrating. I hope it's something that gets fixed with experience.
