Not that I ever bet any money on Football games before (I never have throughout my entire life) but if I did bet, I would most certainly take the over and never look back.

I am a fan of both, having moved here from Illinois in 1981. Those Las Vegas guys are usually not too far off. There are too many unknowns on both my teams this year to comfortably bet the “over”.

How would you rate the interior offensive line compared to last year? Will Lucas hold up for 17 games? Are the backups on the OL any good? Can this DL pass rush and stop the run well enough to win 11 games? Are there any holes in the defensive secondary? I would not trust anyone’s opinion on Darnold until we see a few regular season games.

The scuttlebutt from Vikings fans is that what's going to be driving us nuts all year is Darnold holding onto the ball for way too long. That's the last thing this OL needs, even I do believe it has improved.

Between that and the age of the DL, I think 10 is a safe guess from me.

My official prediction is 11-6. We were 10-7 last year with a worse roster and coaches and a tougher schedule. I could even see 12 wins, but its the NFL and we are going to have those "WTF" games. I'm locking in 11.

Question is what team/s will be our Giants game this year? Weird cause playing the Giants used to be an auto win for us. There's always at least one of those unforeseen bumps in the road.
The thing is we had a solid chance to win all but one of the games we played last year and in my view we have improved more than any other team in our division. So we won 9/10 games last year...which 7 or 8 teams are going to beat us? If you're gonna bet those are the games to play.

Darnold proves that last year was not a fluke and that he IS a Good QB and not just a product of a Kevin O' Connell system.

He won't have the gaudy numbers but he will have the gaudy 13 wins (that includes a Division title plus 2 Playoff wins for 2025).

Has a good shot at my goal this Sunday.

He already proved that last year was not a fluke based on where the team is (and after beating the Rams in a big game) and is definitely not successful solely because of Kevin O' Connell. Kubiak has a system that is better suited for him.

He will come up short in the numbers he got with the Vikings but they won't be that far off either.

Division title + 2 playoff wins (maybe more?) remain to be seen.... (we will see these next two games whether he can get the Division title part done....though getting the 1 seed would be an unexpected and very pleasant surprise)

My Hope is springing and hope it continues to spring.
