I don't feel Houston is as good as they may seem. I think they get exposed on Sunday.

Almost everyone's record prediction will be the same as the Hawks actual record.

Crickets from the Houston fan base tells me they're far more nervous about this game than we are

My prediction will not change this season.

The Seahawks will not lose.

To date: 3 & Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

I think we win this one, I'm not all that impressed with Houston so far this season, I think their offensive line is just as bad if not worse than ours, and on defense we only really need to be scared of JJ Watt who is an elite guy and stupid good.

This is a really tough one for me.

On one hand JJ Watt has earned every accolade he gets. The dude is just a beast. No way around it. On the other hand Andre Johnson and their LT may not be playing or may not be 100%.

I have to admit aside from the playoffs last year I haven't seen much of the Texans.

I have seen enough of Seattle to know the following:

-every game we play on the road is close unless you're the bills
-our defense is just really good
-our offense has had a couple weeks to prepare for being okung-less and correct it's slow start
-Russell Wilson just seems to get the job done.

My gut tells me the Seahawks lose a tough on here.

However the numbers and my heart tells me our guys defy the 10-am road start gods for the second consecutive game.

Record to date: 3-0

Final Prediction:

Seahawks 23
Texans 19

Texans get a chance to put the game away with a late TD drive, but a Brandon Browner pick puts the game away.

Still not sure how we'll do on the road at 10am, but the Texans offense has been struggling and I don't see a letdown from our D.

Our road offense has to prove to me that they can get it done. I have faith in our D, but Watt will cause problems for Russ and until we can throw between the hashes and run with our FB/TE in the game, I am skeptical that we can score enough points in someone else's house. Hopefully we've turned the corner and are actually the team that can beat anyone, anywhere, but i still have concerns about scoring points on the road right now.

If our D can come out and force turnovers and cause problems the way they do at CLink and give our offense more chances, that will be a HUGE marker for the rest of the season.

C-Dub's Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 27 - Texans 13

C-Dub's Fearless Record: 3-0

C-Dub's Fearless Five Stat Predictions:
- Running game gets it going: Beast Mode will top 100 yards
- Welcome back party: BB will get an INT, CC gets a strip sack
- Offensive line steps up: Watt is held without a sack, but will get a few pressures
- Defense dominates: only allows TD in garbage time, scores a TD
- Winning on the road: Seahawks win in hostile environment

And one more for fun...
- Our .NETers will be louder than the Texan fans. 12th man represent!

I agree, but I think it's not just the road offense. We beat up a bad squad at home last Sunday, but we still started the game with "run through an A gap, run through an A gap, failed pass, punt". I am so sick of that. (One of those two runs MIGHT have been through a B gap, but I believe they were both A.)

Virtually every time we start going with a hurry-up offense, Russell gets a TD, and we call not only more aggressive plays, but better ones that work a lot of the time for us. Why not stick with more of that? Bleh.

There is a ton not to like about this game. The Texans are coming off an embarrassing effort against Baltimore. It's not just that they lost there, it's the way they lost. They put in a piss poor performance. Questions are being asked about how good they really are. You can bet that the coaching staff and the veteran players are going to gear up their team for this weekend to "right the ship" at home against the number 1 ranked Hawks.

It's another 10 AM road game against a talented team. The Hawks have a huge target on their backs now wherever they go.

I will be keeping a close eye on Andre Johnson's status. If he plays, it pulls the focus of either Browner or Sherman off of helping out elsewhere, which may open up the passing game somewhat for Schaub. I expect Houston to try and spread us out and exploit our LB's in coverage. If Owen Daniels is carving us up in the first quarter it could be a long day.

In a lot of ways, the old Seahawks teams of past would lose these type of games. However, with our pass rush starting to establish themselves as one of the best in the league now, and with our strong running attack, I think the Hawks of 2013 should pull this one out in a nail biter.
