Despite the fact that I picked a loss in one of the next 2 games on the season prediction thread, superstition dictates not picking against our team until they don't win one. So............

Seattle wins a defensive slugfest on a 52 yarder from Hauschka as times expires.....

Hawks 16
Texans 13

We get off to our usual slow start and give up a first quarter touchdown.

Our offense wakes up a bit in the second quarter with a TD, but the defense allows another. 14-7 at the half.

The master of half time adjustments does it again, and we outscore them in the second half 14-3, for a final score of

Seahawks 21
Texans 17

Houston is averaging 27.3 points against, and a number of those have come off ST and defense. So I think our ST and defense are in for a big day. Offense is merely OK, scoring 2 TDs and a 2 FGs because our ST/defense advantage. Seattle still put up 27 points due to D/ST score.

Schaub dinks and dunks, but they can't find the end zone. 27 - 9.

3-0 YTD

Edit: Revised the 12 to 9. Forgot their new kicker is a shankapotamus.

A friend of mine not long ago lectured me a bit on having that "Championship Attitude" to go along with what should be a Championship year for the Seahawks. The conversation began before the Panthers game when I told him how hard it is to be a diehard Seahawks fan of 37 years and not feel worried about a 10AM game on the road against a decent team. He just looked at me like I was from another planet. Then again, he's a huge Buckeyes fan so doesn't know loss like I know loss, lol...

Last week, he said, "See?? All that worrying for what? Are you ready NOW to embrace that Championship Attitude? The Seahawks are for real!"

He's right. The Seahawks ARE for real. And it is in that spirit that I say the Seahawks beat the Texans this Sunday. Everything in my diehard makeup, all the years of letdown on the road, is a hard virus to shake and still brings me pangs of nerves when it comes to road games. I know this team has been getting monkey's off their backs but I can't pretend that the Texans are the Jaguars with no talent.

However, this is OUR year, not the Texans.

Aros' Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 24 - Texans 20

Aros' Fearless Record: 3-0

I'm also going to go against the norm here....I'm predicting a BLOW OUT!!

Seahawks 42 (Seahawks getting 3 sacks)

Texans 17

Closer than you think...
For some reason I can't even imagine anyone beating this team. Road game? No worries. Lose an pro bowl left tackle? Meh. Well be OK. This game will be a good road game test. I say we pass it.

I think the final score will be largely dictated by the whether Andre Johnson plays/ plays at 100%. If their #1 receiver is DeAndre Hopkins, he's going to get mauled by Sherm and Browner all day. Final stat line: 1 catch for 7 yards. They have zero talent behind those two which is why their passing game has been pedestrian for years with the one man (Andre Johnson) show. Schaub throws 2 picks. Hawks win 28-6.

If Andre Johnson plays the score line will be much more respectable as we'll be forced to account for both run/ pass equally. In the end, having watched the Texans get torched by SD (first half) and Baltimore, I have much more faith in our goal line defense then the Texans. Final score: 24-16 Hawks.

However, should RW have an off day and throw a pick or two or Marshawn gets comes down with a case of goal line butterfingers again and we lose the turnover battle by 2 (or more), final Score switches to 20-17 Texans. I see this as the only scenario where the Texans win.

Our D will be in Shaub's head early and often causing happy feet and a "I'm not happy, I want cake" mindset.
We roll 24-13.

3-0 for the season

Tough sleeding for both offenses in this game. I see a repeat of Week 1 with an extra touchdown for each side.

how I think it will play out is our offense struggles in the first quarter but our d keeps us in it and we trail 6-0, we start to run well in the second which sets up a play action where wilson hits Tate for 30 yards and a TD.
Texans however lead 9-7 at halftime.
The seahawks lead an 13 play 75 yard drive that goes for about 6:30 minutes capped off by a 10 yard TD by Zach Miller, the drive keyed by multiple third down receptions by doug baldwin.
The texans add a FG and after 3 it's 14-12 hawks.
The texans are driving with about 8 minutes left but Schaub is sacked by Avril, and stripped of the ball. Recovered by Mebane.
The seahawks run an awesome 4 minute drill that eats up 6:30 minutes and the Ryan punt pins the Texans back inside their own 10.
With the hawks revamped pass rush they hold and take an ugly one 14-12.

Guys and Gals, want to feel better about playing the Texans? Then you got to see what THIER fans are saying about Sundays game. I mean 95% of them expect the Hawks to win. Usually, when I check out an opposing teams fan forum the week before a game the fans are all in smack mode, but not them.

I can't bring myself around to feeling a win here. Hope I'm wrong. Picked us to win the first few weeks, will pick us to win against Indy next week without hesitation no matter how this game goes, but...

Houston 17, Seattle 13
