Aros’ Fearless Prediction Thread (vs Rams)

I want our defense to hit them hard and hurt them. I want to get after Stafford and put him on his arse, beat him up. I want our D to get mean with them, cause a few turnovers, punish them, win the game for us.

This is why we hired MM to be our HC. To take on McVay and Shanahan. This is a big game for MM and his defense.

The Rams are also three plays away from being undefeated - and in almost more dramatic fashion, with a blocked FG in Philly and a fumble on the one yard line going into the endzone.

The Seahawks might very well win this game - but the Rams are 11-3 and have better quality wins than Seattle does, so this post just feels wildly off-base. Its fine to think Seattle might be better....but there is no reason or evidence to think these two teams (whichever way you rank them) are anything but 1 and 2 in the entire NFL.
Better quality wins? Like who? The Eagles. The Rams haven't beaten down any world beaters either. I just looked at their schedule and the teams they beat aren't any better than the teams we beat.

Don't bother Hawks. The Rams are the greatest team in the history of the league. Just ask the media, their 735 fans and some our own fans.

That sucks, but he kinda deserves it. Hope he learned his lesson.

(if it's real).

Because it is divisional, I suspect it to be close. But we can not run the ball, we are still going backwards on 2nd downs and being put in unmanageable 3rd downs,it is proven week after week. I think we lose it 24-20

I'm not sold on the Rams, I'm just not. I think they are smoke and mirrors and we completely dominated them in the first meeting. The only team that I'm doing a double take on is the 9ers, and that's because they were winning with back ups. The Rams got stomped out by the Panthers and Detroit was lighting them up on Sunday. How many teams have lit us up....One, the Bucs, and that's because most our starting defense was out that game. No one has had the advantage on us or outplayed us. Media outlets aren't talking about this enough and that is the Seahawks are literally 3 plays away from beaten unbeaten this year. No one is talking about that. I've already explained this. The 9ers game if Darnold raises his god damn arm to shoulder level Bosa wouldn't have stripped that ball and Kupp was WIDE open in the end zone. The Bucs game most our starting defense was out and Meyers missed a field Goal. The Rams game, if that punt landed in the end zone or Drnold throws one less INT, we win that game. Mind you this is with an average to below average run game. I believe they have the right O-line for a great running game they just have to move some players around until they figure it out. Like Aros said, if you think for one second that the Seahawks are gonna look like they did on Sunday, you are in for a rude awakening.

Hawks - 34
Rams - 17
I have to change my prediction. The weather is suppose to be shitty tomorrow. We're gonna have to probably lean on running the ball more due to the rain, but I think Darnold will take some shots down field. This could come down to who has the better special teams.

Hawks - 17
Rams - 10

Stafford has 37 touchdowns, Darnold 22. Not sure why people don't "buy" them.

We give them a good fight, though.

This game will tell us if the Seahawks are ready to win a championship. For some reason the Hawks have seemed to be better on the road the last two years.
Time to turn the homefield into the advantage we have seen for years.
Seahawks tie in the turnover battle, 2 to 2.
Seahawks win 23 - 17. Let's Go!

We're not lighting up the NFL on O anymore. I think the Rams take us in this one. That's fine. We win the rest and go #5. Then we march thru the NFC for the third matchup as Sam builds his confidence. This is the one that counts. We take them in their house for the SB. Face it we're way better on the road for some reason.

50% chance of rain at kickoff tonight, and 16 mph winds. The rain forecast starts tapering off as the evening progresses, though the winds remain in the 16 mph range. Are 16 mph winds high for Seahawks stadium? Maybe that will be a factor.

This game will not come down to passing, I think it comes down who can run the ball better and control the line. This is where Rams have the better odds. Based on what I've seen lately I don't trust Sam as pressure starts to get into his face. I trust the defense will do everything they can to keep the game close but I sadly see the seahawks losing tonight 21-17.

Side note I have a gut feeling the Colts beat the niners.

As to the running game.

Walker & Charbonnet

v

Kyren & Corum

Both duos are good. I guess we will see how they perform.

The betting line is now Seahawks -1, which equates to the Seahawks being a 51% vs 49% favourite.

Don't y'all all love DVOA here? We beat the Lions, Colts (when they were playing great) who are 3/4 in DVOA (not the same Colts team the Seahawks just beat with Rivers).

We've only played the Cardinals, Titans and Saints with losing records - we didn't get the Commanders or Max Brosmer Vikings. These schedules aren't even comparable, come on now.

Example #1 - How about this non-call when Rams played the Saints a few years back -

Example #2 -

There were plenty of missed calls in that NFCCG against the Saints that went their way too, including a facemask on the previous drive (fitting given the second example). The Vikings game....sure....but even if that call was made, we weren't losing that game.

Every team has examples like that. Yall have the fail mary....every team has calls that go for and against them over time, its asinine to claim that any one team gets some kind of preferential treatment and is just a loser mindset
