That our bye week comes right before our game with SF? * EDIT* Saints....

I know we have banged up, tired players and the bye should help, but I have seen a lot of poor post bye performances for many years, so yeah, I am concerned.

Not at all, I'd take a bye this Sunday if they offered us one

We do come out flat after time off. See the recent games against the Rams and Bucs for example.

We still haven't recovered from the 11 day layoff after the Cards game.

not concerned. I would rather have the bye and get banged up guys healthy heading into the two most critical games of the year.

can't come out any crappier than we did against TB. plus after 2 weeks of no Hawks and a Monday Night game the crowd is going be INSANE come kickoff time.

Normally I would agree with you but with the timing of injury recovery and how tired the team has looked over the last couple weeks I think it is coming at a perfect time. Hopefully we can stay focused and get healthy and fresh at the same time.

Situations used to be relevant for this team. They aren't any more. The only thing that matters is who we play and how we play.

Nope.

Vol hit the nail on the head. I think the home game is huge after the bye.

We haven't played AT HOME after a bye in 8 years. I'm curious to see how this team plays at home after time off - especially against a strong opponent.

8 years? Wow, how does that happen?

Thought about this one a couple weeks ago, but I actually am not that concerned about the bye week per se. I think if I've ever seen a Seahawks team that DESPERATELY needs a bye week, it's this one. Between injuries, OL struggles, RW being 'banged up,' etc, this team really needs a week off to try to get healthy.

As McGruff said, this is a team that has been defying 'situations' all year. They're 4-1 on the road. They're winning 10am starts. They're not blowing winnable games on defense. I have no doubts that they can win after a bye week. What worries me more is how we're playing right now, particularly on the offensive line, but also on defense. Whether we survive the Saints is going to be about how we address that, and I can only imagine the bye helping.

Initially I was a bit worried, but knowing how important this game will play in determining HFA in the playoffs, I don't think our buys will have an issue getting ready to go to battle with NO on Monday night.

I'd like to say I'm not concerned about it, but the thought has crossed my mind several times. So I guess that means I am. I'm going to keep reminding myself that it's a home game.
Sometimes the voices in my head get annoying. I wish y'all could hear em.

We desperately need a bye this year. As beat up as a Seahawks team has been in a long time. Wilson is hurting. Beast is hurting. Our D's confidence is hurting.

Saints on MNF (especially considering their embarrassing performance against the Rams on MNF) and I expect a very jacked up team with lots of swagger. Plus an extra week to get the gap responsibilities on Defense figured out will be nice.

Looking forward to a BYE this year!!

I would sat that I am worried as we have never been a team that has played well after a bye week. Hopefully that changes this year, but I don't know.

At first I thought a late bye would be beneficial. But after Big Red confirmed it with his concussion-induced admission that they are tired both physically and mentally, I wish they had a bye this week.

I really have concerns about them getting past the upcoming two games against the Falcons and Vikings. Besides the OL woes, and attempting to get the DL rotation down, they are starting to spring a leak in the front-7. I could see AP having a +200 yd game. The offense is going to have to pick it up to account for the fatigue the defense seems to be going through.

I need to see the offense pick up their game this next month or so.

A road game after a bye might be concerning because it seems to take a while to build up that adrenaline after a long break and then a road trip.

But this one will be in front of the 12th Man. Against Drew Brees. On Monday Night Football.

Perfect timing.

If we come out flat against the Saints at home on MNF, then we deserve to lose.
