Totally ripped off from another thread, but this might help you understand why some of us are awfully disappointed in that performance, despite getting the win. That was a terrible game.

Coaching 6-8 year old youth soccer players, I ask them, "What do you call a wimpy, left footed shot that barely rolls across the goal line?" They'll guess stuff like "weak? lame? bad?" Then I raise both arms, run around and hit them with the answer, in my best Andres Cantor voice:
"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!" and they instantly get it.*
What do we call a fugly 6-3 game in the cold and rain on the road, where Geno plays like schitt, the offense sucks, and Seahawks are the team with 6? (In a Raible voice)
"HAWKS WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!"
It's freakin' tough to win on the road in the NFL. Let's celebrate this one and root for AZ and Murray!

At this point in the season being disappointed in a win is weird
We know who the hawks are. Its just survival time at this point.

I’m confused? What is your argument? That we should feel good about beating a team 6-3 that lost 8 straight games and look like straight dog poop?? Of course we aren’t going to feel good about this win.

The RAMS have a ROCK hard-on right now.
I thought the game was closer than it should have been due to Seahawks ultra conservative play calling. Run, screen, run, no deep routes all night.
I’m happy the Hawks won to make Rams/Cards game interesting. This is NFL — anything can happen.

I'm not disappointed that they won. I'm disappointed in how poorly they played against a very, very bad team.

They're a flawed team that was playing in the rain on a few days rest. All they had to do today was win
Are we disappointed because we were expecting them to perform like a Super Bowl winning team? I've got news for you
I would be with you if this was week 4. It's not. Being hopeful because the team looks good is pointless at this juncture

Why? How a team played one week has nothing to do with how they play the next week. How many times have we barely beat a weak team only to come out the next week and play great? Nope...I will always take an ugly win.

This. And I refuse to believe that any of these jolly mfers complaining about us complaining don't understand this simple concept.
If course we're happy with the win, GeekHawk. But it's a message board aka one of, if not the BEST medium for the fanbase to "get their shit off" and vent their frustrations about our squad. Quit acting so brand new.

You honestly, genuinely don't care, AT ALL, that the offense looks this terrible against this Bears team this deep into the season? Their gameplan/playcalling/execution/etc. doesn't concern you even a little bit? If you say so.

Our offense played with the finesse that you would expect from a toddler that got into daddy's booze cabinet. At one point in the game I was convinced that Geno Smith was unveiling his best Stevie Wonder impersonation. He was not seeing wide open wide receivers. Some say "IT'S THE SYSTEMS FAULT!"! but in this game there were guys running open and Geno just couldn't see them.
At this point he is regressing virtually every game. He tried audibling frequently, but with every audible I pondered if I was getting brain damage from the stupidity.
The running game was sick in the beginning, but Grubb realized that the run game was Grubbing air time from the GRUBBRAID air attack. Grubb kissed his picture of Mike Martz and praised his lord and savior that had died for our sins in heaven above, Mike Leach. "It's time" he murmured under his breath. "WE'RE GOING FING DEEP, BALLS DEEP".
There was the greatest show on turf
This was not that, this was the dumbest show on turf.

I am glad we won. You have to be able to win ugly.
That said, as a fan of the sport, I hate bad football and that was a pretty frustrating game in that regard.
I can't say I'm disappointed though. Sometimes it's fun to embrace the chaos. Makes it interesting. Loved watching Caleb and honing on him for the first time. I remain happy with my eval of him in draft season - he's a hopped-up Russ. He just doesn't have the pro-style poise and structure Russ did coming into the league.
I know there's smoke around Pete and the Bears. Pete would be genuinely the perfect coach for Caleb.
