Takes a lot of chances and is rusty. Is facing a team that got 7 sacks last week, with each sack by a different player.

Not good for him.

I've seen him play for the Jets, and I thought they made a mistake not giving him more reps and going with him, but I think they were invested too deeply in Sanchez at the time.

From what I remember, he's somewhat mobile, and he looked decent, but this is just an impression I have from a few years ago. Not like an All 22 scouting report on him. He's not mobile enough to alter our pass rush plans.

STL isn't in as much trouble with him as most think, if he maintains the form I remember. Now, in spot duty, he hasn't looked all that great since then, but I think a QB will always look better with all the 1st team reps and weeks of continuity. It's kinda why Flynn got so much money off of two starts and an injury replacement; it's just not that easy to walk right in at QB and look polished.

That being said, I don't think STL has the talent to hang with us. Their defense is looking a bit beat down as the offense slowly slides off the edge of becoming truly terrible. They have speed on the outside of the offense, but haven't put it together yet. This game could be closer than a lot think it will; the team could rally around Clemens. Or it could be a dumpster fire where we mow them into the turf. Either way, I see a Seahawks win.

Lifetime 62 QBR, I believe. Sufficiently atrocious.

Ok now think about this, when has a Jet QB had a good rating in the last 20 years, I think for consistentcy you would have to go back to Ken O Brein.

STL is a team that takes a lot of borderline shots though.

Remember how last year people were complaining about their people taking liberties after the whistle and trying to get in some shots while in the pile?

Given how good their DL is and how bad our OL is, my concern is getting a key player hurt.

Quinn was a guy I was worried about at the beginning of the season.

I really hope our guys don't walk in and overlook these guys though, the Rams always seem to play the Seahawks tough.

Chad Pennington had some good years there and he's still a fan favourite for some.

I feel a big game tonight, we're going to feast on Clemens I think. Had so much time off to rest, and with Wagner back we're going to be out ball hawking.

seems like Tavon Austin and Schottenheimer will take care of that themselves. Jared Cook I'm worried about though. TE's always seem to hurt us

Austin is pathetic, and Cook hasn't had a good game in almost two months.

He kinda plays like Ryan Fitzpatrick.. Just keeps taking shots... A long completion here n there but most of the time it's an interception.

Wasn't this the guy that Bernie Kosar recently got in trouble with for saying that he sucked? I have also heard Bill Simmons say that he is atrocious. In the past I would still worry about it a bit but he's playing a very good Pete Carroll team who in its last 34 outings hasn't been "beat" convincingly by anybody. IMO our last true loss at Dallas 11/6/2011 where they beat us 23-13. That was our biggest loss margin in that whole span. So no I am not worried about Kellen Clemens.

He's a Duck, so you know he's amazing.

In reality he's a below average backup QB in the NFL. Kind of has a gunslingers mentality but not the gunslingers arm or ability. Turnovers should be available to be had for the Seahawks D. (I'm basing this off of his play in college, havnt really seen him in the NFL).

Clemens' physical ability is very middling. He doesn't have a pop-gun arm, but not a cannon either. He's not a Scott Mitchell-esque statue, nor is he Tony Romo....more like Kyle Orton. Average to slightly below average, physically, across the board. He lacks much experience in regular season action, particularly in recent years, and has been quite poor in the majority of his career action. He's a fringe NFL talent at best, particularly at this stage of his career. He's only on the Rams roster because of his experience with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer when they were both with the Jets.

You are correct Jsea he is a Duck, he was good in college too. I saw him many times here in Eugene. He set a sophomore record, at the time, (breaking Dan Fouts') for TD's in a season.

He showed some flash early in his NFL Career, he had some impressive pre-season games but was always a back-up to Chad Pennington / Mark Sanchez. He never got consistent playing time during the regular season, so he never got into a rhythm, IMO.

Anyway, he kinda reminds me of Charlie Whithurst, good clipboard guy but I don't think it's something we should be concerned about on the field.

Get Clemens into 2nd or third and long and he is dog meat.

Forget Clemens, stop Zac Stacey and Clemens is done.
STL has to win this game with specials and defense, because they have maybe 10 points available from this offense. Maybe. 3 is more likely.
