Letting Leon go was the right move, and a painless one until Harvin's injury. Leon's been holding our #3 RB spot hostage for a couple years now. Turbin is a big upgrade over Leon as a #3, and Michael is a huge upgrade over Turbin as a #2. We won't be as good on KR this year, but if Michael plays his way into serious playing time, I won't care.

I was always a fan but age sets in fast in this game. In hindsight, well yeah. But in hindsight, we'd be led by Tom Brady too.

Leon was great while we had him, but I will definitely NOT miss him as a running back. I'm sure there is someone that can do an admirable job returning punts and kicks. I think he had lost a couple steps and his returns last year were more from blocks he received than his returning skills.

I will never understand the white flag waving crowd...especially when waving the flag BEFORE THE FIRST PRESEASON GAME. Sheesh.

Leon didn't really have a place on this roster. The team is already going to hold on to Lynch, Turbin, Michael, RealRob, and possibly Ware at RB. That's 4 maybe 5 roster spots, and a 6th would be way too many. I view kick returners kind of like a closer in baseball. They're fairly valuable, and can win (or lose) you games, but for the most part they're not hard to find. Think about all the potential big play returners we already on the roster: Michael, Tate, Lane, Thurmond, etc.

The cutting of Leon was partly a cap issue, but mostly due to a lack of a roster spot IMO.
