Sgt Largent, if hosting an NFCCG doesn't get you excited, I assume nothing will

It is different but....I don't think its gonna be the cake walk everyone thinks it is going to be. A LOT has changed since week 1 on both teams. I think we pull this one out but my level of certainty is about the same as it was last year vs the niners. A lot of things can happen on Sunday to make the score go either way. It will be the best the best game of the week no doubt! Just don't think its gonna be the blowout a lot are predicting...

to be fair...

i dont think anyone really thinks its going to be a "cake walk"

just alot of fun being had on the site this week, and well deserved giving the roller coaster year we have had.

TERRIBLE ANALOGY ALERT:

This game will be like the Ohio State vs Oregon game minus the 4 OSU turnovers.

I don't see GB stopping our run and if they try, Russ will beat them with a couple deep passes to Kearse to really open their defense up. GB will have a couple drives where they look like they belong, but it won't be sustained and the true talent disparity and coaching disparity will come out. GB is the exact type of offense this defense was built to stop.

One positive note. GB came into Seattle once before this year being told they wouldn't win against the CHAMPS. They had something to prove as they were under the impression that this was their year.

Actually there were quite a few people who thought GB would win that game. Also Green Bay is a completely different team than week one. If this game were at Lambeau I'd honestly pick the pack. None the less it's at the Link and I can't argue with your prediction given the noise there and Rodgers being one legged against your pass rush....

We are 7-8 point favorites at home, which means we would likely still be 3-4 point favorites @ Lambeau.

I dont blame you for being more optimistic if your team was at home, but picking them to win if it was there? Not likely.

Green Bay is a good football team. The Seahawks are just on another level.

Aaron Rodgers played 3 Top-10 Pass Ds on the road, including Seahawks: 56-of-102, 536 yards, 5.25 Y/A, 2 TD, 3 INT, 64 QB rating, 0-3 record

Yes, the media and getting closer to game day I'm nervous. It is Thursday and I have butterflies. Seahawk football has given me so many emotions the past few decades, and I love it.
I am not necessarily excited I am feeling super nervous all of a sudden.
Oh, and disrespectful twitter tweeters piss me off. :x

As a Packer fan I don't think we have much of a chance. Green Bay will come into this game with a lot of emotion but we just don't have the horses on defense IMHO... With that said, this is the NFL and just when you think you have a game figured out the opposite happens (see Giants having no shot to beat NE in SB XLII)-that's why they play the game....

When you rush 4 and reach the QB, you always have a chance.

GB will be game, but like you said they dont have the defense that it will take to match this intensity coming sunday.
Even the wicked 49ers defense last year couldnt hold up, and Wilson is a better passer and decision maker this season.

GB will need to score on most drives and get a turnover or two to win, it can be done, though.

The thing that I hate about all of this -- is the media talking trash about the Packers and not giving them a chance, man we all know how that motivation works. Not to mention the number of poo spewing, sewer pipe sliterhing Seahawk fans rushing to the twitter feeds of Packer players and talking crazy amounts of trash about how the GB players have no chance.

You beat me to it. I'll second this.
As I had said about the pre-SB hype, the picking of Denver just played into the bulletin board material for the Seahawks who came out with something to prove. Iw as loving it. This could very well be the same for GB. Just as Carolina came to play with nothing to lose, GB is probably in the same boat. They are probably eating it all up and can't wait to knock our blocks off.

Fortunately, GB's defense couldn't really stop Dallas (assuming especially if you agree that Bryant should have been awarded a catch at the end of the game) and Dallas's couldn't stop GB.
Green Bay gave up 21 to Dallas. Didn't Dallas score 30 on you? Dallas' offense is no joke dude....

Dallas did its best not to score 38 last week. Missed FGs, Murray fumble on what would have been a TD, and the Dez debacle.

Plus the Romo sacks late in the game. I was like "wow, you are telling me that Dallas is going to start throwing the ball now, after completely doing whatever they wanted on the ground?" I couldnt believe it.

How did they hold you to 23 points and 200 yards offense?

A game plan around Harvin in which he was acting the fool most of the game, and then refused to go in the game.

The Hawks were more of a different team then , than the Packers were in week 1 vs now.

That Hawks team had no identity, it was game planning around that Schmuck Harvin. Now, Its Wilson quick reads, Beast mode up the gut, and read option now. Just like it was supposed to be.

Hawks -7 at the Clink

It would be Hawks -1 or even spread in Green Bay.
