Whoa, is this accurate?!
If so, that looks REALLY bad for Stroud, Hooker, etc
too bad he sucks at playing QB.Richardson is a rare athlete.
Anthony Richardson is a QB prospect in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 10.00 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1 out of 890 QB from 1987 to 2023.
Again, high score doesn't guarantee you'll be good, but a bad score does seem to indicate you'll struggle. Moral of the story: stay away from Stroud.Didn't Malik score high on this?Look at him ha ha
The NFL doesn't seem to view them remotely the same. Willis lasted till the third round. Richardson will be a top 5 pick most likely. Pointing to an overhyped prospect (by the media not NFL scouts) that was never close to the prospect that Anthony Richardson is doesn't prove anything.Richarson is the next Mailik Willis.
Because they're not remotely the same. It's a bad comp. The NFL doesn't seem to view them remotely the same. Willis lasted till the third round. Richardson will be a top 5 pick most likely. Richardson is a better athlete than Cam Newton was and is entering the draft at a younger age as well. Cam Newton is the much more apt comp than Willis.
At least Fig newton had one good season in college he could point to. Richardson? not so much. I don't see him going in the top 5, top 10 maybe. He's a 3rd round talent, real world. and that right there is the problem. 1 year of experience where he was not great. Now you throw the poor kid the wolves and expect him to play at an elite level? Thats just setting him up for failure. Those are LONG odds for a top 10 draft pick. I feel bad for the young man. He should have stayed in college.A lot of talent evaluation is projection. Especially when a player so young is coming out. The extremely talented and polished prospects are rare, especially at QB.
Even they struggle at the next level (look at Trevor Lawrence). All QB's need developement and experience. You can't just write a guy off because his numbers were not outstanding his first year starting.
He has the arm, he has the atheleticism, he has the mental capacity to succeed at the most difficult and important position in football. He just needs some time and development to get there. If we don't take this chance now how else could we acquire a prospect with his kind of traits?
Trade away all our draft picks? Hope a team doesn't resign him after drafting and developing him? That isn't going to happen.
You simply can't get guys like this when you are a succesful franchise normally. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get what could be an all time talent at THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION IN FOOTBALL no less.
You have to take this swing at it imo.
Perhaps he didn't feel he could get the kind of coaching he can get in the NFL? More than likely he was told he would be a high pick. With NIL it wouldn't have been about the money.and that right there is the problem. 1 year of experience where he was not great. Someone watch this and tell me he's good.
