Michael Crabtree has already started practicing after tearing his achilles, like Anthony. Can we expect him to be back potentially after the bye week? Any news? It would be very nice to have him back.

Next year he'll be a UFA that can sign with any team.
Best guess he'll find a team that will sign him to a respectable #2 TE contract.
And I'm also guessing that won't be Seattle.

He wasn't cut (nor entered an injury settlement) so how can he have cleared waivers? When you place someone on IR, the club still controls that player. McCoy was going into his last year here, so he'll be a free agent next year, but Seattle still is in control and could resign him if they elected to do so.
McCoy was not eligible for IR-DFR. That's only for players who are on the active 53 man roster when/after the season begins. Best they could have done was put McCoy on the PUP list if they felt that he could plausibly return to action by the final third of the regular season, which obviously they didn't. Thus he was Waived/Injured and put on season-ending IR after he cleared waivers.TzarokHawkFan":391q5kew said:Each team only gets one IR with designation to return, we chose NOT to use that moniker on McCoy. That allowed us to later use it on Okung. Would you rather have used it on McCoy, chance him making it back before the season, but also lose Okung for the season?
