Did we make the right choice choosing Wilson? I'm still not sure

Your team didn't have a shot at drafting those other guys. It's like saying the Niners should have drafted Cam instead of Kap.

Maybe your team did right drafting Wilson over Cousins.

What will happen first?

They return to the Hawks game or the spit spot on the mic dries up?

How could you have chosen between the two when Wilson was a third round pick?

Some will still say he had a better career than Russell Wilson.

Few, but some I suppose.

Maybe with Luck retiring our fan base can get over their Rodney Dangerfield syndrome with Wilson and Luck/RGIII. It doesn't reflect reality anymore.

He got booed off the field by Indy fans.

Ridiculous to see.

He’ll sleep well tonight, pack up his house, and get the heck out of the state of Indiana and never look back.

Lol, obviously I know we didn't have the choice to choose Luck. I wouldn't have even if we had a top pick, FYI.

So maybe I should rephrase and say, did the Colts make the wrong decision in choosing Luck? I suppose hindsight is 20/20.

Or maybe, Russ was always the better QB. Luck was just overhyped, turnover prone, in a cakewalk division and never actually lived up to the hype? Good luck to him and his future, but the Colts chose the wrong QB. Not complaining though :D

You wouldn’t have picked Luck with the number one pick? He was the highest touted QB since maybe Manning. Good on you for having quite the eye, but I can tell you that you are in a very, very small minority. Out of curiosity, who would you have picked with the 2012 number one pick?
RG3?
Trent Richardson ?
Matt Kalil?
Kuechly?

Here's a completely baseless hot take, you heard it here first. His dad is running the XFL. This is probably just a plot to get him playing in that league.

He's gonna make the announcement after spearing Goldberg at WrestleMania
Never thought of that. Likely true though. 8)

I thought he was done a couple years ago. His shoulder was that bad, so when he came back from that and had a great year last year. I thought he was going to thrive over the next 10 years. They have a great playcaller, great O-Line, a defense that is rapidly getting there, and a boatload of cap room.

This is unbelievable. They are on the brink of a Superbowl, and he NOW walks away? It makes no sense.

He must not really like football, or his injury(s) are way worse than what we know.

I heard a rumor he was going to be involved in “The Burbs 2”, he is going to play a Klopek.

In all seriousness, outside of having a horrible beard, he seems like a nice guy and intelligent individual.

Historic. He is walking away from more money than anyone can possibly imagine. Wow.

Yep. He could have opted to be listed as injured and received a LOT more.

Betting he keeps the signing bonus as he can always unretire otherwise

They picked the right guy and did a horrible job protecting him. He isn't built nor plays like RW and an awful o-line and rushing him back from injury killed his career

Just like Shanahans offense killed RGIII running him up the middle over and over and over again

He was the right pick at No 1 for any team

I agree with what Fade says.."It makes no sense"
The poster above says he wasn't protected or built like RW.
Are you kidding me?The Colts invested a lot into that OL
so they tried.
As for for his build ..He is a big and tall guy who had some
speed. He had no problem going at the D running early on
and it wasn't always because he needed to But there is
the saying.."The bigger they are the harder they fall".
As for another poster saying "The rushed him back"
He played without getting that shoulder looked at after
that "non football injury"(snowboarding) resulting in an
obviously bad season that year.
He finally has the surgery to fix it but he admitted that
he didn't rehab the way he should have and misses the
entire following year.
His actions and the timing of all this are what has the fans
booing and as Fade said "Brink of the SB"
Now that is gone and the season is pretty much over..
I can't blame the Colts fans for being upset and if that was RW
I know the reaction would be the same..

He tried to comeback from that shoulder then it was an ankle then something else and then the shoulder again, he may heal but he may have lost velocity and depth and may be in pain throwing now.

Don't blame the man he had a good game, blame the GM and Irsay for not protecting him and supporting him with better players.

This is why I worry about Wilson sometimes, Luck was as mobile initially, not as evasive however.

No I would not have picked him with the number one pick. I said right here at the time that he was over-hyped, and every time he played against UW "I've never seen anyone hand off the ball to a running back with such grace and aplomb" (a quote from one of my posts back then). He wasn't the reason his college teams won, not at all. Also, let's not forget which GM was the Executive of the Year merely for drafting that giant bust, and JS has never been in spite of everything. Screw Neckbeard.
