Only thing I would disagree with Marvin is your comment that this was not supposed be the Niners year and a transition year. A lot of talking heads were saying going into the year, getting some guys back who weren't healthy last year (like McCaffery) and an easy schedule had a lot calling for them to battle the Rams for the West and even a dark horse Super Bowl pick.
Of course that was before the season started and the Bosa and Warner injuries (in particular). Still can't believe with all the injuries Shanahan got them to 1 game from the #1 seed.
Total opposite of the 2019 winner take all in Seattle where the Niners won. And going into the game Seattle was down to Lynch out of retirement due to 3 RB injuries late in the year

Thats just the talking heads.
Look at the moves the 49ers made in the offseason. They let both starting DTs go, let Floyd go, traded Deebo...
...they went all in on a youth movement. Their 1st, 2nd, and 4th picks all were counted on early to make big impacts on D. Winters, Mustafa, and Green were all second year defenders they were going to lean in on hard.
This year was bout clearing salary cap dead weight and making a transition to younger players.
You saw some of those guys play well tonight....2nd pick DT Alfred Collins and 4th pick NB Upton Stout. Just wasn't enough. They simply couldn't protect Purdy and they had no WR who could separate.
Well…the Niners still have the third oldest team if I’m correct

Good game Marvin, your guys played with heart, have been all year. Shanny was a ass post game but maybe it was just a hard pill to swallow being so absolutely dominated this game.
Reset time for the 49ers, roster is aged, takes a few seasons, but your competitive still, thats the hard part, looking good but not quite good enough.
Many other teams in the league wish they had your and our problems, remember many mediots said we were only a 7 win team this year.

Yes but thats kinda offset by having a long snapper and punter in their 40s.
They have a few aging stars and then a few older guys who are on league minimum to fill some spots, but they are playing their younger players ALOT.

I understand it, first time since he took over his offense has been limited to 3 points since like game 2 of his coaching the 49ers, secondly the rest of the stats being so low as well, he was embarrassed due to him also calling the plays.
How is he thin skinned??? Go watch it. It was a dewsh move. He didn't even look at Mike. His team got OWNED. Be a fricken man and shake a hand and look someone in the eye. F Shanny

The NFC West arguably has the 3 best head coaches in football in that division…crazy but true if you think about it.
My rams fan wife pointed out to me that Shanahan was being pissy, so….

Man..I go back and forth. I said that the other day and last night…well, dropped more F bombs before the game even started.
The Niner worship by the announcers had me ready to destroy something.
