Its a little late, but i called this one to start the season. I figured there was no way Russ would beat out Jameis in a straight up competition. 9 weeks late here we are. I have always been critical of Russ, not because i didnt like him but because his game was incredibly flawed and rather than ever just addressing his shortfalls, he seemed to resort to either flat denying them or pushing the blame elsewhere (scheme, o-line, coaches) but i do feel bad that the his years long denial and choosing to live in his own personal alternate universe has got up with him in the worst way. Literally everything we wished for, he got and squandered it. Away from Pete? Check, Offensive mastermind for a HC? Check. Big market team? Check. But it was squandered because those things he thought were the solution were just a fabrication of his own design. The real problem was Russ. Being humbled again and again the way he has been has to be hard.

But $250 mill in the checking account likely makes it all a little bit easier...

Does anyone grounded in reality think that Jameis Winston is the answer to the dreadful Giant's problems?

Since the day of Dabolls’s medical tent meltdown, I’ve called it similarly. He had benched Russ after week three. If it weren’t for his 8.5m guarantee, they might have made the move earlier.

Lol browsing through the Giants fan base reddit, they don't care if they lose anymore. They just want to see some action good or bad. You get that with Jameis. 300 yard 3 or 4 touchdown and 5 int with a couple of pick sizes. They are excited for Winston regardless of if they lose out. They get a high draft pick while watching some entertaining football. With Wilson, you get boring football and get to be a mediocre team at best.

in the past five years

Russell Wilson has played for six different head coaches and has played on four different teams

All of these coaches and teams are done with him

As bad as Russ has been playing, that's debateable. I think Russ beat him handily last year with the Steelers.
