Not on Clowney...silly...On the upcoming game. Like you, I really love football. Been watching with great interest since 1980 at the age of 8. Coincidentally, that was the year the Eagles went to the SB an played the Raiders in New Orleans. Dick was strict with the boys and it showed that day with how uptight they played. Jaws was just awful and Plunkett could do no wrong. The Raiders were the first wildcard team to win it all. That moment there started the disappointment of getting close but not bringing it home. Do not get me wrong. There was plenty of great players, teams and moments along the way that molded me into a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. I digress, Let's talk your upcoming game.

We played them week 4 up there and won 34-27. Carson threw for 3TDs but what got us the win was how we ran the ball. Under Doug when the pass/run is close to 50/50, the Eagles win the majority of the time. The balance was key in keeping Aaron off the field so he could not expose our awful secondary. Rodgers got his and Devante was having an epic day with 10 for 180 at the half. He got hurt early in the 3rd. He may have set the record that day. Our D was stellar against the run, holding Jones to 21 on 13 carries. In the end, a D back tipped the ball in the endzone and we picked it to seal it. When we played them, Za'Darius Smith was not playing. That dude was causing havoc against the Vikings.

How do you guys see it going? Adams is a pain in the butt. He will get his but they must minimize the damage. I think the Packers will try to establish the run early, try to expose your linebackers in coverage with Jimmy and take deep shots to Adams.

You guys can get yours on offense. Running the ball will be the key to setup everything else. DK and Lockett should have big games. Russell just needs to be himself and not try to do to much and force throws. He is going to be under duress at times . Hopefully he can break one early...Good luck.

I think the game will largely hinge on Seattle's ability to hold up against the Packers pass rush. I'm pretty sure the Packers are dead last at defending the deep ball this year, so if Russell has time, he'll carve them up and Seattle will probably win a close game. If they can't protect Russ... I can see the Pack winning this by 10 or so points.

Didn't you just say on Monday that Karma was gonna' get the Hawks? And Go Pack? And show pics of the Hawks losing SB 49? And pics of Rodgers? And accuse Clowney of being dirty, maybe 15-20 times just on Monday?
2 days later it's Go Hawks? I mean, you're choosing the right team if you actually MEAN IT :irishdrinkers:

Keep the ball out of ERs hands..er uh ARs hands and I think we have a great chance. Play option and running the ball will do that. Every time they have the ball, make the score just a 3 and then do at least that when we got the ball. Could come down to the last team with the ball wins.

P.S. if there is snow...run as much as you can.

I disagree.

We want Rodgers to throw.

The RBs on the Pack are very good. The GB passing offense isn't what it was.

We would win a shootout. We will lose one of those typical Seahawk grindout games because our defense is still iffy. They could grind right along with us.

Nope, Hawks are gonna' win. IF the refs don't call penalties every time they so much as touch Lord Rodgers.
I just wonder if Buck is going to have his kneepads on while he gobs on Rodgers all day long

Two biggest keys for me are;

1. Minimizing Jones. IMO he's now the key to the Packers offense, not Rodgers. Especially catching the ball, dude's a nightmare on screens and short passes. If the Packers get Jones going? Could be a loooooong night for our defense.

2. More Beastmode. We gotta get our run game going against GB's very good front to open up play action so we can take shots downfield. So as much as I like Homer, this is Lynch's game to wear down that front, so I want 15-20 snaps for Marshawn, not 5-6.

If there ever was a game to wear his ass out and have zero regard for his condition, it's this game. Less Homer, more Beast.......cause Russell isn't going to be 5 for 6 on 3rd and 10 and longer against a good Packer's defense like he was against a bad Eagle's secondary. MUST get the run game going.

I can agree with most of this, but I don't think it's necessarily as simple as more beast and less homer.

What I want to see is our coaches using these players' strengths and not forcing them to make plays they aren't designed to make.

Homer is not that inside runner that Lynch can be, and Lynch is not going to be that speedster who hits the edge and flies past people.

We need to be smarter about how we use our running backs. This isn't Carson/Penny here, but I believe we can have an effective running game, especially if we just get Wilson to tuck it and run a few times early. Just doing that a couple of times early will open up the run and pass game for others.

I'm still of the mind that we need to stop Aron Jones, and prevent the 2 Smith's from over running Russell.

Iupati and Brown are certainly keys................and while I do think Iupati comes back, I'd be shocked if Brown does. Dude had meniscus surgery barely two weeks ago, that's not something that you usually can come back and play from. Lots and lots of swelling with that type of knee surgery. Wasn't just a clean up job.
