I was still perplexed that Wilson didn't keep a few of those. Re-watching the game, he would have been WIDE open several times for huge gains if he would have held on to the ball. I mean...there was no defender in sight downfield. The 49ers were selling out to attack big time and didn't seem like they expected him to run it.

I saw the same thing and totally agree. We're talking 30-40 yards and he gets out of bounds scott free. The announcers kept saying it as well. Last year when people kept asking Wilson about the RO, he replied that he didn't like to run it that much, and mostly ran to throw the ball.

I do think that Brooks hit affected him a bit. I was a bit miffed we didn't get Brooks back, and also get one on Kaepernick as well.

Exactly there was nothing but green grass on half the RO plays my guess is the coaching staff is the reason he's not keeping it.
