Haha just got a call from my Aunt, apparently I should be expecting some "financial aid" from her soon because "if you don't have a jersey, how can you proudly represent your team when you can't speak about your love to others?" So I'll be getting a Chancellor jersey here soon. I do know my limits as a new fan though, and I haven't yet once gloated about the Hawks winning the bowl because I don't feel as if I could go that far yet. Maybe in a few years after earning my stripes I can get to that point, but for now I'm gonna stick to supporting the future of the team, the incredible dynasty that is preparing for many years of success, and learning as much about team history as possible! My mother offered to fly me to Vegas for my 21st, well I think I'd rather take a trip to Centurylink to be quite honest ;)

Ive only been a fan for 5-6 years, since I moved from alaska to renton (liked them, but they werent my number 1 team in ak). It took a couple years of living here, going to a couple games, etc before I realized they were my favorite team and went 'all in'.

Some may consider me a bandwagon fan, but whatever. Definitely haven't experienced many of the hardships that a lot of the faithful have, but Ive experienced some. Lucky for me, that time is not right now I guess, haha.

Sports is supposed to be fun; root for whoever you want.

There are people who get resentful when the bandwagon fills up because they suffered through bad seasons following a team, and they consider that some kind of badge of honor; it's not. Have fun.

In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. Root for whoever you want. Life's too short to care about what others think of your fandom.

Welcome aboard.

Yes, you're a bandwagon fan.

But who cares! We're happy to have you...listen to the old vets here to get some great historical information about your new team and welcome aboard!

I'm not much of a country music fan myself, but the words of this song ring so true here, and in a lot of other cases.
