Russell Wilson 320 passing yards.

2nd straight game over 300 I believe, including the playoffs.

I don tthink he ever made it to 300 in last years regular season?

Defense was great as well!!! Bent a few times but hardly broke.

Hell yes!

They certainly looked less than "Super" for much of the game but that has a lot to do with their tough, tough D more than anything.

Whew.

Was on pins and needles for those last 10 minutes. Thurmond's forced fumble was clutch.

edit: ET's forced fumble. My bad.

Both sides played some incredibly tough, hard nosed football. This game was very reminiscent of the 2006 game in Detroit, where we barely eeked out a win, 9-6, over the Lions.

You just can't say enough good things about our defense. They are so well coached it defies explanation. The ball is everything, and that couldn't have been more apparent today.

Wow.

I think people need to bother Baldwin for his autograph before every game.

Apparently it is good luck.

Baldwin was a stud.

Also, they got a road win with a lot stacked against them.

Against a really really solid front 7.

And no major injuries? Good start.

10AM, on the road, against a ridiculous front 7. You damn right I'll take it.

Defense was missing four starters (five if Jordan Hill should be counted) and still held the Panters to seven points in their own house. I'll take it all year.

I went from thinking that the Seahawks would lose to thinking that they would win, but not cover the spread. They won AND covered the spread. And still, that was super-nerve-wracking. I don't think we have won a season-opener in three years, and I had a billion flashbacks to that Jacksonville game in 2004. But now that my rational mind is back online, that was a really good win, and Carolina only scored seven AT HOME against a team missing Clem, Avril, Irvin, and Browner.

Game balls to Wilson, Baldwin, Kearse and Sherman.

Earl Thomas too! Play of the game.

Loved how we closed the game out. Left nothing to chance.

Awesome win.

Whew. That D of theirs really kept Russ bottled up. Very impressive, but not as impressive as RW's composure and clutch throws in the 4th. That forced fumble was huge huge huge too. Great game.

East coast early start.

Hot and humid

Significant injuries and suspensions

Quality opponent

Lots of bad penalties

We had every excuse to lose, but we won. 1-0 is 1-0. Go Hawks
