Interesting read from Danny O'Neil. Doesn't mean anything in terms of the future, but it's interesting all the same.

The offense was nothing short of ruthless the first month of the season, the quarterback piloting it with a precision that put him at the top of the MVP consideration.

That changed in October and November when a series of stumbles cast doubt on the trajectory of the season before the defense stabilized things in the home stretch of the regular-season schedule.

But enough about the 2019 Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

I'm not so certain why so many have casted doubt this season. Still three games left. I have a feeling we are bout to show why we are the best in the NFC.

I honestly think that some people almost WANT them to lose so they can be right. Nothing wrong with that, for them. Shoot, how many times have the same people claimed they would get smoked by x team, only to see the Hawks win??? MANY times.
But, there also is nothing nothing wrong with believing in the team.

Yes, and by that logic there is nothing wrong with not believing in the team. I happen to believe this team is very flawed, and that we're nothing but paper tigers. Time will tell, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we win a Super Bowl, or even get past the divisional round, but I find even getting past the divisional round an unlikely scenario.

Remember, this is a message board, and not everyone shares the same opinion. Anything anyone post, myself included is not immune to commentary or criticism. Without dissenting opinions this place would get really boring, really quickly.

This team is completely capable of competing with any other team in the league. They are also completely capable of laying an egg against any team in the league. They WILL make the playoff which means they have just as much of a chance to win the SB as any other playoff team.

Well, you certainly did give us your "opinion".....though I really do not understand WHY someone would want to post what you did. It was nothing more than your "feels". Oh well, I guess some people are so negative that they are not happy unless they can spread their negativity to others. If you want to play "pigeon chess" go right ahead. Myself, I'm more of an optimist and refuse to be a miserable person.

I prefer the idea that we're good enough to beat anyone on a given day, while acknowledging that experience has taught me we're also fragile enough to lose to anyone on a given day.
IMO our playoff run has already begun.

Whether we win and go all the way to a championship, or whether we get in and do a one and done or something similar is hard to say. But it whatever happens it will be interesting on this board after the fact. Always is, and always will be! :irishdrinkers:

All we have to go on that’s substantive imo is what we’ve been seeing every week from the start of the season and the one thing that’s been consistent thus far has been our inconsistency. both sides of the ball. We might disagree on here all over the place as to why and how that is but no one seems to disagree that we are indeed extremely inconsistent.

It’s extremely rare for an inconsistent team to go deep in playoffs regardless of seed. I think projections of an early exit make sense for now, but let’s see what happens with our offense seeing two of the best defenses these next 2 weeks. I would be thrilled if our offense can put up 24 points in each game and our defense holding them to 17 or fewer

Superbowl bound. We'll claw our way through later rounds and then be in an all out shootout against the Chiefs.

DK will have 100+. Josh Gordon will save our asses on 3rd and long at least once...possibly twice. Penny will have 60-70 rushing and another 30+ receiving. At least one of those rushing plays will be 25+ yards. Adam's 2 sacks. KJ with an int.

Truth. We have as good as shot as ANY team in the NFC to make it to February. Packers almost lose to the Panthers, Bucs are neurotic, looking like garbage half the time, Saints are legit but not unbeatable...Seahawks underachieve at times but have the firepower to beat anybody, Rams just lost to the Jets...THE JETS!!!

We are in the dance and that's all we can ask for right now.
