Maybe it’s the homer in me, but I expect Murph to take a huge step in his sophomore season. It takes that first year to acclimate to the league, but the guy is a physical beast and is set to make a noticeable difference.
If your expectation was Donald, then you need to temper your expectations. However, if your expectation is someone that can anchor that interior D line effectively and occasionally demand double teams allowing the edges to work their magic, then I think this is going to be a fun year.
Needs to order tall drip instead of venti at Starbucks or lay off the blow. Here is Grant Cohn today . For the record I think the hawks beat them week one

True. I’d say Sam’s ceiling is higher than Geno’s and Sam will have the better year statistically this season. But if they swapped teams last year I think it would be a wash.true.
i say he's an upgrade but not by some gigantic margin.
I think he's a slight upgrade at this moment that could turn into a massive one based on what you stated in regards to the running game and OL.

When they lose (and particularly when they get blown out), his post-games are cinema! Can’t wait for his post game![]()
I remember recently when he was a guest on Hawksblogger (Brian) and he asked Brian if Shannahan would be fired if he lost to Sam Darnold week 1.When they lose (and particularly when they get blown out), his post-games are cinema!
Exactly!Knowing Grant's schtick at this point, I feel like that was a setup video for him. I.e., "Kyle, you're as healthy as you're going to be all season, why didn't you win?" He's waiting to lay into Shanahan.
Grant is a legend up here in Seahawk territory. He never has to buy a drink at any bar in Sodo Hawk fans got him coveredHere is Grant Cohn today . For the record I think the hawks beat them week one

He is actually pretty hard on the Seahawks as wellGrant is a legend up here in Seahawk territory. He never has to buy a drink at any bar in Sodo Hawk fans got him covered
Geno would probably do really well in Kubiak's offense.....but that isn't what is happening. He lost me with Darnold is unquestionably an upgrade over Geno Smith.
unquestionable is not the right word there, not with Smiths stat lines both last year and the year before.
In a 2025 scenario where the Oline and the running game improve significantly, that could very well be true.
Darnold may have a higher upside than Smith pending several factors that need to fall into place.
its the running game, that’s the factor for both of those players and every qb in league save for maybe 2 to 3 superqbs that can excel in almost any scheme.

I expect big cat to have 12+ sacks, if he finish the season healthy but less than 8 sacks, my lonely eyes will look towards Murphy. There has been so much to talk about this training camp, he's flown completely under the radar. If they use him to generate internal pressure and he takes that next step, this defense gets completely unlocked. Internal pressure from the DT is just so devastating to an offense.
I mean he used to rip on Stinky G when he was your quarterback so he’ll always have a soft spot under my sackHe is actually pretty hard on the Seahawks as well
He got all his Seahawks knowledge from reading .NET; here, any QB is better than Geno Smith, aka geNO.He lost me with Darnold is unquestionably an upgrade over Geno Smith.

Darnold in Kubiak's offense is a significant upgrade from Geno in Grubb's offense.
