This is good news even if the amount paid seems a tad rich. What was actually guaranteed won't be known until the terms of contract are disclosed. My belief is the cap consequences won't be $ 17 mil/yr.

Positively it was clear though that Shaheed improved the team on ST and also on O after he joined the team. The team as well gets to keep the results of the traded 4th and 5th round picks in this year's draft. To me the fine print will clarify if it was a good deal but keeping this player is a positive going forward.

Happy they got this deal done!

I knew he’d be closely scrutinized by other teams after some of his antics.

Undoubtedly a physically talented player with a huge ego that didn’t fit the consistency needed for his position. Loved him year 1 but after that not so much, the Rams had his number at critical times and his ego just got him in trouble on the field.

Not unhappy to see him gone.
