I think it really is a team game, rigtht?

;)

Apparently not if you want to bitch and complain. Seems like the same people come in here to whine when the opportunity presents itself, but are quiet as a church mouse fart when things are going well.
Well, it would have been nice to see Felix get the "W".

That said, this team really does look like they will be worth watching throughout the rest of the summer and not just til the Hawks' exhibition..........er, preseason games start.

Longest Seahawk offseason for me, ever. Even longer than last year, which was miserable. I really needed the Ms to be competitive beyond May, even at .500 ball. And they ARE! :0190l:

Do I expect them to make the postseason? Nope. But they should keep it interesting until at least Seahawk training camp, and then if they fade after that...eh...

Neat, another M's font office/ownership apologist. Do tell of all of the Mariners success in the last 10+ years. <cue the jeopardy music>

PS. Thanks for entirely missing the point of my post, but hey, you have an agenda and all, carry on.

Nah, I didn't miss the point. You just don't understand that you are complaining for the sake of.

Can't do nothin' if he don't wanna play here. It's a shame. I was hoping for a FA bat since you don't have to give up players to get the guy you want, but oh well.
Good gawd the offense sucks! Felix pitching a gem with 15K's and 0 runs thru 7 innings and these tards cant push across a run! :34853_doh:

Good thing its 9 innings...

Good win.
:34853_doh: Oh brother........
I meant when Felix was in the game. It sucks when the guy pretty much is perfect and dominates the game and doesn't get the win. He would be a an annual 20 game winner if the offense wasn't so piss poor.

Yeah for the win though! :0190l:

I'm with you...but in the positive how many of the Kings great outings have we let turn to losses?

Things feel a bit different right now... I expect wins. That's weird right?

Absolutely not weird, and understandable. My frustration with this team is they have one of the best pitchers in baseball and he busts his ass off every start, and gets real poor run support on the average.

Yes, he gets paid extremely well, but he could have bolted for FA or demanded a trade, but has been loyal as hell. I want to see that loyalty pay off in his win total and hopefully one day a World Series ring with Seattle. It's a crying shame that Felix hasn't pitched in the postseason yet.

I think Lloyd has the team headed in the right direction and is the right guy for the job, but they are still lacking talent with the bats. Hopefully that changes in the near future.

I think if we are gonna look for bats at the trade deadline, we should look at the Rockies. They have bench players that are out hitting most of our starters. Also, they have a log jam of good players on the outfield.

With Rockies players, though, you have to wonder how much their stats are inflated playing in that stadium.

The issues with finding another bat will be the pieces we give up, and I'm not sure we have any good ones at the moment. Our three biggest pieces have lost a ton of value of late (Paxton and Walker due to injury, Franklin due to sucking). If we are willing to move say a Franklin it will have to be for a player whose salary ends this season.

quite a group effort by the staff today, and another win. Ramirez wasnt horrible and Cano does his best Joe Mauer impression.

Nice series with the Rays.

got to love this team and they find different ways to win..Toast to our bullpen-great job! As for getting hitters..We can and will if we are in it by deadline time..Kemp would be one of those I want...maybe the Yanks will give us Suzuki back ..A lot can happen..I forgot we had Hart/LoMo ..If one of them can produce after DL we won't need a couple of hitters... Go Mariners!!!

I see there are two shortstops on the roster in Tacoma hitting .336 or above, Chris Taylor & Gabrial Noriega. Can someone tell me why one of them isn't in the majors replacing Brad Miller yet?

Both have less than 45 games experience in AAA. Neither are ready for the bigs, when you rush hitters, you ruin them. (which is partly why most of our young prospects have torn it up in the minors and then flail in the majors, because they were forced up too early due to lack of major league players at the positions)

Tai Walker promptly gave up a homer and hit a dude in his first inning tonight against Memphis. Womp womp.

Please come back soon, James Paxton, since you actually have had success, no matter how small the sample size, at the major league level! Walker is nothing but a wish and a hope and also a dream, a lovely and colorful dream, at this point.

EDIT: Just gave up another dinger to their nine hitter. I'm off the Tai Walker bandwagon. It's arguable that he'd be much better than Erasmo at this point.

Can't help but feel the Seahawks Superbowl win has opened the floodgates for the other Seattle sports teams in terms of taking away the pressure.

Mariners actually look like a major league baseball team.

Sounders are top of MLS and haven't crumbled when reaching the top of the table like in previous years. Reign also doing well.

Do you think it would be possible to get Paul Konerko for the ChiSox? Veteran bat that could DH for us, plus he isn't playing at all for the White Sox since they have Abreau and Dunn.
