Totally dating myself but I don’t give a rip.

In elementary school, we had a dispenser machine that would shoot out random NFL team pencils. It became a thing. Trying to collect all - what at the time 28? - teams was the dream.

But most importantly was to get the coveted new home team called the Seattle Seahawks.

It was a rare prize. Oh these little pencils with stripes and team name and colors was EVERYTHING to us elementary kids back then. Trading them like baseball cards.

I came across one on eBay and immediately I found my 8-year-old self pushing the buy button before I even knew what I was doing.

My girl rolled her eyes when she saw it.

The kid in me was smiling with glee.

I had all 28 of just those pencils and kept them unsharpened in a Seahawks mug on my dresser. I organized them all the time for various things. I'm sure they're in a box somewhere. They were one of my childhood treasures.

As a kid in school, I would buy the set with all 28 teams at the local store and give my friends their favorite team. I remember the store had note pads and and folders for each division too. You guys remember the magnetic board with the helmets so you could track the standings as the season progressed ?

Back in Seattle.
Yep slid the 10cents in and loved getting the hawks, dolphins, and bengals ones. Used them though....guess I'm too thrifty.
