Yeah, I'm a dork. Still, I can't help but mention this little thing I've been doing over the past few months...

Every time it's 12:12 AM or 12:12 PM and I notice, I think a positive affirmation as in, "The Seahawks will win the Super Bowl this year."

Whether you believe thought creates reality like I do, or you don't, what harm could it do to give it a try?

It's become so second nature I almost didn't even think to mention it to anyone until tonight. There's certainly no harm in positive thinking and even the most skeptical of us has to admit...

12:12 is the best time of day or night.

Solid plan, Aros. The power of the mind is something that has never been truly understood, but it is said that those who eliminate negative thoughts and only fill their heads with positive ones, including clearly defining what they want - it will come true. Remember the famous Jim Carrey check he wrote to himself? http://www.cbn.com/finance/miller/writecheck.aspx

I'm down with this plan. 12:12 - "The Seahawks will win the Superb Owl this year!"

And I've been making wishes at every 11:11. Between the two of us I think we've got it covered.

Weird! Me too! I had a girlfriend back in 1997 who told me every time you see 11:11, make a wish. She certainly didn't leave much of an impression on me otherwise, but for some reason that always stuck with me. Every time I have seen 11:11 pretty much since, I've made a wish. So far, so good! (i.e. I'm still alive and relatively happy). :)

If it works and we win it this year, we can switch to military time next year (1313).

Positive thinking is a strange thing. Several years ago the company that my wife and I worked for (she still does) used to give out prizes at the company party. Every year there was a trip given away. A gal that worked with my wife had won it two out of three years. She told my wife she put a picture of that place up by her desk. Every day she would say she was going to win that trip, and she did. Mind you, this was out of a couple thousand people.

My wife decided to do this. The trip was an all expenses paid vacation to Washington D.C. She put the picture up and every day said she was going to win it. She did! They changed the rules after that saying you could only win it once since two people who sat side by side won the trip 3 out of 4 years.

Please, Todd, carry on!

The 11:11 thing is interesting. A few years ago I noticed a string of 11:11's. I would see it everywhere. I kept it to myself, then it came up... I heard a modern flamenco song on the radio, went to look it up, and found the name of the album was "11:11". At that point I told my woman that it had been going on for a couple months. At seemingly random times I would turn to see a clock and it would be 11:11. I finally did a search and found out this is "a thing" and some people think it involves angels and all kinds of crap. I think we have a will to meaning and we'll ascribe it to anything that works. Now when I see 11:11, I just get a generic sense of purpose, like a reminder that the moment is now and the moment is mine. But I'll gladly include some cosmic positivity for a Seahawks Super Bowl victory. Couldn't hurt. I'll try it on 12:12 too.

This isn't the forum to get too off track here but I will say that I have found in my life that there is something to be said about the power of thought. Someday we might understand just how potent our thoughts can be but until then, if my sweet dreams of Russell hoisting the Lombardi bares fruit than I'm all for it!

Can we put 19:00 (7 pm) in there as well? As in 19-0? At this rate I guess my whole day will be filled with thoughts of a Seahawks Super bowl. And that makes me happy.

And what's the square root of 12?
Yep, that's right, and that's how many Supper Bowls we will win with Wilson!

Tanzania didn't get us a championship last year, and other superstitions won't get us one this year. If we win the Super Bowl, it's because we earned it, not because of fairy tales.

Annnnnd, because it's appropriate for my response to this thread:

You boys and girls watch to much TV. lol

A couple of years ago there was a story line on CSI-NY that involved Gary Sinese being called at 3:33 every morning. It took most of the season to resolve itself.

So now that I don't sleep as well as I used to I see 333 a couple of times a week. Also 444, 234, and others, even 456. But that doesn't mean I think I'm supposed to go gamble at some casino.

I wonder if 333 equals a mini-devil since 666 is supposed to be the full sized one?
