    No Love for Bevell Today?

When a thread has to be created to point out somebody's achievements, it sometimes means that there isn't enough of what they're being complimented for, and that's the case here. He called a great game in New England last night, too. He really did. The problem is that he has a handful of games...

    2 Point Try

It was a dumb call, lol. It just was. To be able to kick a PAT and give your self an 8 pt lead is a no-brainer everytime, Especially given the way our defense was playing overall. They showed up, as usual. Give them a chance to defend a td and 2ptr always.

We should say bye bye to Alex Collins

Agreed. No legit reason to give him a whiff of the field in a game like this, given his fumbling issues.

All Kidding Aside...Would You Fire Bevell?

Yes. In the same way that Bradley, Quinn, and now Richard have all coached top Seahawk defenses, we could find another OC who would be able to match - in not exceed - Bevell statistically. More importantly, though, would be the timing of certain calls, along with implementing a game plan not...

    Dear Russell Wilson

Well said. Pete's loyalty go his coaches is admirable, but completely misplaced when it comes to Bevell.

    Tell The Truth Tuesday

Exactly. There's only one flavor of game plan in Bevell's book, and it's vanilla. Couldn't have had less of an imagination preparing for a team that has now beat us 2 in a row, and 4/5. So tired of this guy.

    Remember week 1 of 2013?

It was the season opener, so of course it was far from a polished performance. But we were also reminded of the perseverance and focus this team has in crunch time. That's very encouraging, all things considered.

    Story of the Game?

It was an ugly win, but a win nonetheless. Week #1 with a brand new OL, facing an opponents DL that isn't too shabby themselves. Webb won't last, and we have yet to see Ifedi. Opening day was a success.

Which current players do you think get cut?

I like the kid, but I have a feeling P-Rich is finally cut for good before September. Lockett is a star in the making, Baldwin is on the eve of a fairly big extension, and Kearse got paid a little to stick around. I also have a feeling that the rook Lawler will end up earning more playing time...

    THE annual Adopt-A-Rookie thread

Hunt. Center is so key, and we haven't been nearly consistent enough there for several years now.

I have a really bad feeling about this draft

This entire draft class was pretty solid, but far from spectacular. No real big prospects or stars, like in recent years. That said, I like what we did overall. My preference would've been to draft a CB in round 3, rather than selecting a RB there. Much more difficult to find a cornerback...

    Ronald Blair, DT/DE Appalachian State

Good read, and nice breakdown, kearly. Sounds like the type of player we could develop and take a flyer on late in the draft. Being a projected 5th rounder (at best, it sounds like), he may last until the final 32 selections. We'll see. But Seattle is excellent at finding diamonds in the rough...

    Ingrid Rounsaville Lyne fund.

Words just can't describe how awful this whole thing is... Not much consolation, but the gofundme page on the daughter's behalf is going pretty well so far. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Ingrid_Lyne Meanwhile, Godspeed to her family, and especially the kids left behind.

"For those who've been around here a while, you know Rob as being that guy that is never satisfied with the Offensive line,..." Works for me :) And Cheers to Rob!

Who's stoked to watch Paul Richardson this season?

It's make or break for him, period. I like the kid, and he's got some upside, but he HAS to stay healthy for a full season - and contribute noticeably - before anybody can even begin to think he's turned the corner for the better. As it is, Baldwin, Kearse, and star-in-the-making Lockett are...

Russell Okung signs with Broncos ($53m/5yr OR $5m/1yr)

I dunno...with the way Okung "negociated" his deal in Denver, just about Anybody could've afforded him. He was determined to move on, and he did. Meanwhile, yes, Sweezy got a contract that he could've only dreamed of. Beyond grateful we didn't commit that kind of money to a one trick (rush...

Three Little Birds On The OL (Speculation + Optimism)

"Between Gilliam and Sowell battling it out at LT, I'm comfortable with the winner of that battle starting for us." There's also a very good chance that neither of these guys win the starting job. When all is said and done, I think Pete will have a different option penciled in there. Still...

How do you honestly feel about this team right now?

We are still a SB calibre team, no doubt about it. I'm also happy with what's taken place so far concerning the OL. Neither OKung - but especially Sweezy - were worth wasting anymore time or money on. The former never lived up to his potential and was too often dinged up, while JR couldn't...
