Even if Sam Darnold was a miserable failure it would still have been the right decision to move on from Geno. I have no idea why he thinks so highly of himself (he is a grade A delusional prick). The fact he spectacularly failed in Vegas was no surprise to me. I think the reason he had such ardent defenders here had a lot to do with their dislike of Russ quite frankly.

I read the police report from Geno's Bellevue DUI arrest, and he was an abusive condescending prick. I had prosecuted and defended hundreds of DUI cases in King County and I rarely saw someone acting like such an Ahole.
I remember that incident well. That's when I got off of Geno's bandwagon. The guy was/is a complete A-hole.

And the thing about that incident that I remember is that after his arrest, Geno asked the public not to jump to conclusions until they heard his side of the story. But as far as I know, he never gave his side.

Humans gonna bias. Nothing new there, and I agree with your thought there; hatred blinds. :)

It’s surprising to me that Pete saw so much in him…all signs point to Geno being a complete gutter ball as a human. Was he a different person around Pete completely or what? He loved the guy, I just don’t get it.

Yeah, I thought for sure that when Geno was arrested for DUI and the behavior he demonstrated with the authorities that Pete would have cut his ass. But I suppose since the charges got dropped, he didn't feel as if he had good cause.

There are times when I think that Pete had such an over inflated opinion of his persuasive powers that he thought that he could tame the soul of the savage beast where others had failed. Percy Harvin comes to mind.

Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned. I doubt there's anything to charge him with. Cops aren't stupid. Geno is no angel but women will often embellish an argument or flat out lie out of anger. Even with a medical report. The fail proof easiest and number one method women use out of anger to get a man locked up in our criminal justice system is by walking into and ER with zero evidence of assault and saying her boyfriend hit her in an argument. Hitting a woman is a pretty shitty thing to do but using the flaws in our system to implement the significant other is far far worse. Trust me I'm a medically retired cop and have been to many a DV case. Happens all the time

The Geno is elite crowd no longer posts which isn't surprising because their schtick was always obvious. That's what happens when you idolize a guy on twitter and believe everything he says and I agree with Nate I think another QB drove a lot of the hate.

I'm so glad those forum days are over lol.

Yup. People still hate Russ, after all these years. But at least he Won a TON of games. No comparison. One was a winner, the other a whiner. Russ went downhill at the end, but at least he wasn't a never was. He was a lot of things, but he won at an all time rate, especially game winning drives. Funny thing is........if you say ANYTHING positive about the guy, people lose their minds.
Exactly why I retired from that talk. Geno wasn't even remotely close to what Russ accomplished.
Back on topic, yet another accusation towards Geno. Meanwhile, Russ was never in trouble, ever.
