Is there pressure for guys to hit when they come here, like it’s known around the country that it’s hard to hit here, very few hitters have came here and lived up to expectations
I think the "can't hit at T-Mobile" park myth is hugely overblown. I'm not arguing that it isn't harder to hit homers at the park, especially in the colder, damper months with the "heavy air" and all that. Yes, it's harder to hit for power there, but the infield is the same size with the same dimensions. A player that hits for average should still be able to hit for average at T-Mobile. Sometimes the myth gets into players' heads and affects their game.

Ref was supposed to be able to hit for average against lefties. He isn't doing it. Not gonna blame the park for that one. Naylor came over and did it.

That’s what I’m talking bout, the myth getting in their heads and giving them a complex

Naylor is like the first

Its no myth, look it up. Its at the top of the toughest parks to hit in, in the league. Always has been since the very beginning. Some guys can handle it, most can't.

This is the huge list of hitters to hit .300 or better since the beginning of Safeco and
T Mobile Parks to the present.
Six Mariners players have hit for a .300 average at Safeco/T-Mobile since the stadium opened in 2003: Ichiro Suzuki (2003–2010), Ibanez (2004), Jose Vidro (2007), Cano (2014), Cruz (2015), and Segura (2017, 2018)
Only Ichiro hit over .300 at Safeco the other 5 hit less than .300 at Safeco and better than .300 on the road.
There are a handful of Hitters from other Teams to hit .300 or better in Seattle,
Like Trout and David Ortiz.

It's been 102 years since the last game in which a team had no strikeouts and still didn't score.

Other players come to town & hit the baseball. I guarantee the opposition has scored double digit runs in that park more times than the M's have. The M's have routinely had issues hitting the baseball consistently decent since 2002.

This division is historically bad so far, which could be our saving grace again. Might just be like the year the Seahawks won the division at 7-9 😂

That .200 hitter just scored just fine on his own. Maybe Dan just wanted to avoid a hot hand.

Dang. I had hoped maybe they could win a series against a 20-30 team.

Silly me.
