I’m also between 13-4 and 12-5… I love this team’s DNA, but we have some real questions when you take off the Blue and Action Green glasses I’d like to see how we answer them:

How will Fleury be as a first time OC? Kubiak really dialed up play calling exceptionally well - and that is an absolute skill to master.

We will get everyone’s best shot this year. Everyone will be out to take down the champs. As incredible as our squad is there is regression to the mean and bad bounces due.

I have so much confidence in the Dark Side, anxious to see how Clark, Neal, Fowler Jr and the other new pieces fit.

I agree the Rams have the more difficult schedule - those late season matchups Week 15-18 are going to be huge shaping the Playoffs - including the Eagles on the road and the Rams twice.

For those who voted 13-4 or 12-5, I would like to know where the 4 or 5 losses are coming from.

I said 14-3 'cause I feel that we will split with the Rams, have trouble up in Denver with the air against the Broncos, and maybe drop a game against the Chargers.

I originally thought that Philly on the road could be another loss until I was correctly informed that the Hawks have OWNED the Eagles in their own stadium for a long time.

Come on dude.

We're gonna have 1 "the sky is falling" loss that sends this place into complete meltdown. It's the nature of the game.

Not saying it will happen with these teams specifically - but anything can happen and we have some short rest and crazy turnarounds in the season. Interesting only 2 early games ALL year - which lately have dominated on the road in East Coast time zones.

We don’t know what anyone has yet this year but a potential scenario for 5 losses is easy - splitting in division with Rams and 49ers, at Eagles, at Broncos on a short week, potentially the Chargers make a big leap this year and that’s early in the season… and even a team like at Panthers (in an odd spot between Rams) would be the games that stand out to have a CHANCE to account for 4 or 5 losses potentially.

ill say 12-4. we split with the rams and niners. we lose one of that middle tough stretch with denver, chiefs, bears right in a row and then one unexpected loss that always pops up for every team.

I can see us splitting with the Rams.

The Niners, less so because Brock Purdy is not Stafford.

And there is no way in hell the Hawks lose to the Panthers. NONE.

We were missing basically our entire secondary (or at least some key players) and couldn't get a STOP to save our lives because of it.

I wouldn't call that an unexpected loss because that handicap made a loss a possibility.

Also, at that point (don't forget), Baker Mayfield was starting to play at a Near-Elite level.

Last season was unusual in that we didn't have any unexpected losses. Historically a team that are 10 point dogs (the spread for our trip to AZ in week 2) win over 20% of the time. In 2024 we lost at home to the Giants who only managed 2 other wins all season.

On any given Sunday (or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday) anything can happen. I would work to the following:

  • 2 games againt the Rams. They are about as good as us so about a 50% chance to win each game, par would be 1 loss
  • 8 games against the 49ers, Pats, Broncs, Chiefs, Bears, Eagles, Chargers we would be slight favorites in these but could go either way par would be to lose 3 of these
  • 7 games against Cards, Commanders, Cowboys, Panthers, Raiders and Giants while we are strong favorites to win each of these games I would expect us to lose at least 1 possibly 2.

17-0. I was right when I said a couple of years ago that we will win the SB with Macdonald within 3 years and I was right. We were legitimately 3 plays away from going unbeaten last year. We got the same team pretty much as last year. We drafted Bud Clark and Julian Neal to help contain Puka. Macdonald has stated that he wants another LOB backfield and I think we on our way there. Our D isn't taken a step back, it's gonna be better this season. Macdonald has stated it takes 4-5 years to fully learn his defense because it's complicated etc...it's year 3 and I think we really see the D take to a whole other level this year. For those who don't know already Bud Clark is a freaking ball hawk, god damn that kid can play. I wasn't a fan of walker and I think Price is gonna be better. Mafe leaving hurt, he was good.

I don't know. If it was Petey Boy coaching I would agree, but Macdonald is a different breed and I feel more comfortable with him as HC

Half of our D was sidelined and our entire secondary was out AND we should have won that game. We missed a FG to win
Uhh....I don't think you're remembering that part well.

Sam had that freak INT (the one that bounced off the helmet of a player right into the hands of a Bucs defender late) that prevented the team from marching down the field for a game-winning FG.

But I agree with everything else.

I remember, isn't that the play where PI was supposed to be called.
