Lots of good options at guard left., Marcus Mbow, Chase Lundt, Jackson Slater are all great options. I think we pick a NT next though. Some good DT are still out there.

Pretty sure Mbow will be long gone by the time we pick again and those other guys are developmental players. Which they could grab and they might.

I'm good with their roster building to date.

The coaching staff feels good about their developing young linemen. They have said as much during press conferences. There is a league wide consciences that players grow most rapidly going from their 1st year to their second year. Christian Haynes, Michael Jerrell, Sataoa Laumea and Jalen Sundell are all in that development window.

The team now has 12 linemen listed on the roster. Offensive Tackles is where they are a little short on numbers. They will add two or three to their growing roster. I'm also alert to look for a day 3 or post draft trade that will reflect scheme change and fit.

Thats funny, I view Mbow as more of a project. Lundt and Slater seem like guys that could start right away.

I can't help but wonder if the change in blocking scheme is the reason behind not drafting more help for the OLine. Does Kubiak think he can get more out of what he has with the change and is that why they didn't do more?

Maybe we'll see more on day 3.
Quantity isn't going to move needle at this point.

Adding another guard that is on the level of Haynes/Bradford isn't the answer. Which is why JS took a roll of the dice with Zabel who should be a step above the common third and fourth round guards that JS normally drafts which makes Zabel a quality selection.

Lazy talk much? Schneider already threw us a huge bone, invested a first-rounder to appease the haters. Fixing something that may not need much fixing. Just be happy already.

I also view Mbow as developmental but just saying I think he will be gone because he rated quite a bit higher then those other guys and we don't pick till the end of the 4th round.

Would love to see Chase Lundt selected. Dude's a beast. Could possibly backup at T, but could be a steal at Guard. Cornelius at the T spot would be a nice pickup too.

Yeah, they used their first round pick on the OL. You've already given up on Haynes and Lumea who were just drafted last year? Two years too many for Olu?

Not all players make an instant impact as a starter....give them a little time to develop.

I'd rather them pick Tory Horton from Colorado State to help the WR corp.

Yes, all day 2 picks we drafted areas that we have depth at. We drafted a safety, in which we have good safeties already. We drafted a TE, we also have 2 very good TE's on the roster. And we drafted a QB that's now 5 on the roster. 😬
Eh, that's not my complaint. I definitely think we could stand to improve significantly at safety, tight end, and QB. My concern is with the individuals selected vs the place they were selected.

Happy with first two picks and scratching my head with the last two wasted picks.

Draft grade so far - “C-“

May not need much fixing? I'm pretty sure that over the last 15 years we are dead last in the NFL for OL, and the same guy has been running those drafts all those years.
Everything about the last 15 years points towards our current crop being crap just like the previous 15 years. The same process has produced the same results for over a decade. There is absolutely no reason to be optimistic about any of our OL draft picks other than Zabel.

We have entrenched starters at both tackle spots and multiple players to compete at all IOL spots.

They got a guy they see as a future stalwart on the interior. Drafting another OL doesn't do much unless you're looking for depth.

Desperate need-drafting sucks.

I heard Mbow is super adamant that he wants to play LT. Could be a factor in him falling because I wouldnt draft him as an LT at all.

Man, you and I don't agree often.. But this take is awesome. I didn't really like Milroe, but the last time we took a qb in the third I was critical of the pick and it turned out great (until he married Ciara lol). I am really loving this draft, I bet we get a few linebackers today, probably just some great blue chip players.
