I'm not really a fan of calling a player a 2.0 version of another player. Because it really sets them up for failure in the expectations in the eyes of a fan. i.e. You hold them in comparison of that other player, which in most cases they will only meet the ability of that player in some areas, and not meet in many others. So they will never appear as good, meanwhile the things that player may do better/differently is not part of the measuring stick at all.
Also being said, when have we ever crowned a player the next coming of (insert All-Team, HOFer here) and they met or exceeding that expectation.
