A bunch of things happened yesterday and the day before - our insatiable need for constant instant gratification gives us away
Seattle's tendencies in FA over the past 15 years, the team is slow if not always uneventful signings or updates. Geno and DK trades were definitely the most earth shattering thing the team has done since the RW trade.

Dalman would have been nice but I'd be blown away if they didn't at least sign one of the top FA guards. Would be head-scratching to say the least.

Apologies. I meant immediately AFTER FA.
I think the implication was there to begin with. I think it's fair to be antsy mainly because we know what the problems are with the team but there is a track record of the problems never really being addressed and instead ignored or patched pathetically. Remember how every offseason was how to address the pass rush and nothing really came of up it for years? Instead of resigning Clowny (after trading a 2nd Round pick for him) he walked and the team addressed it by signing a 35 year old washed out Bruce Irvin and Benson Mayowa.

Clowney cost us a third and Jacob Martin, but your point still stands.

It would be nice to get Jared Wilson in the draft now that they passed on Dalman.

People might be underestimating the impact that blowing up your offense has on how FA's view the Seahawks. If you were one of the top FA's, and you had no ties to the Seattle area, why would you want to come here? At the moment, the Seahawks look like a team that is much closer to having a pretty rough year or 2 (or longer), than a team that's close to winning anything.

This might apply to the WR position but I highly doubt it affects O line.
Sounds like Dalman had motivation to prefer the Bears though.

The Lambs signing the Bears center, Coleman Shelton. I'd take Teven Jenkins from the Bears.

How about we wait until after the draft to dust off the pitchforks. They have 5 picks in the top 92. In a “meat and potatoes” draft. Plenty of offensive and defensive linemen to choose from in that top 92.
You trust their drafting?

If you were a FA, would you want to play for a team that looks poised for a rough stretch, or would you prefer to play for a team that looks close to being pretty good?

That's all I'm saying.

I know some players don't care and just want as much money as possible, but the players that do care about winning probably aren't looking at Seattle as a very desirable destination right now.
