What a d-bag. Glad he's gone. Also K9, you're welcome on behalf of the Seahawks defense who kept the Patriots so bottled up that the offense didn't even have to try and pass so you could just run all the time and overrepresent your value.
I think he will have a career year in KC. They don't really have a big name back up. He should get ample opportunity in the red zone which was more relegated to Charbs
Yeah, there's a decent chance 11+ guys might have collectively had more of an impact on a game than one.Meh. So K9 didn't grab a plane to town. They'll send him the ring. It will go in a pile of accolades I'm sure. I think the D had more to do with the win. Bring on Price and the NFL games. Fun.
People in Cleveland still often say "Excuse me, I need to take a Modell". It's a little different, I know.Is Seattle the only sports town that has such a problem with bad breakups (real or perceived?). We just love to shit on dudes on their way out. I suppose all towns are the same, but still.... I just don't get it.
Then I guess Riq Woolen, Boye Mafe, and Coby Bryant didn't care about making good impressions on their new teammates. The Chiefs' last day of mandatory mini camp was the same day. I'm sure they would have let him go if he had asked, but maybe he wanted to make a good impression on his new teammates.
What bothers me is that all he has to do is make a quick public statement as to his reason of not being able to attend (whether it was personal or because the Chiefs had mandatory camp or whatever) and this would've blown over easily.K9 was a good solid RB for us when he was healthy. I have no idea why he was a no show for the ceremony but regardless of reason, the optics are not good. He seems introverted and very chill. Not much of a personality but he was fantastic for us when we needed it most. Good luck to him in the future but quite frankly he's already in my rear-view mirror.
No offense but I hardly doubt I will look back with fond memories of his time here like I do with Shaun Alexander, Chris Warren, Curt Warner, Beastmode, et al. He just doesn't have that lasting presence to me. <Shrug>
Did those teams have mandatory mini camp that day too? I only know about the Chiefs. Then I guess Riq Woolen, Boye Mafe, and Coby Bryant didn't care about making good impressions on their new teammates.![]()
I don't know.Did those teams have mandatory mini camp that day too? I only know about the Chiefs.
When does he ever make a statement about anything? Seems like a very private person.I don't know.
But as far as K9 goes, I did point out in another response to AROS that all he has to do is make a public statement (and he can make it as vague as he wants) about the Chiefs and their mandatory minicamp being the reason and that would be the end of that.
It's his continuous SILENCE that is causing rampant speculation with some around here.
K9 just needs to say : "I couldn't make it because of Chiefs mandatory minicamp obligations" and that would've been the end of that.
But he has not said ANYTHING.
So...here we are.
Holee Hell ya’ll. Some of you are unhinged about this…including a few that are considered well-respected posters (at least, from my pov).
K9’s team (family, agent, etc) BARELY got K9’s dad to attend the Super Bowl because he hates crowds. K9 is much like his dad. Build, looks and apparently his mindset.
Is is that far fetched to think that K9 may not be interested…at all? Not only in attending but commenting on it to the media? He’s so socially awkward. That’s putting it lightly…
I see this dude putting his ring in a cabinet or drawer somewhere.
I don’t think he’s trying to disrespect the team. While I agree that he wouldn’t have profited like he did without the split carries, he just snagged $15M per year and got his wish to be the featured back.
You guys are sounding like bitter ex-wives!!.
Love you all…but, sheeshus h!
