It’s perfectly reasonable for Ken to feel like he is a Chief now, to feel like he has closed the Seahawks chapter of his life, and it’s time to move on.

At the very least, it would be quite awkward to be a celebrating with a group to whom you no longer belong.
Coby Bryant, Riq Woolen, and Boye Mafe didn't seem to have an issue with that.

I guess they don't feel like they are a Chicago Bear (Coby), Philadelphia Eagle (Woolen), or Cincinnati Bengal (Mafe) now. 🤷‍♂️

Whatever.

At the end of the day, whether it was his decision or something happened that caused his absence to be unavoidable, he missed out on a great moment that he may not experience again (it's very difficult to even get to a Superbowl, let alone win one).

And that's just unfortunate.

Oh well.

Thank you, K9 for your service. 🫡

Especially when Riq f'n Woolen (Mr. "All about ME and not the team") shows up to celebrate.
And especially after Woolen's teammates virtually disowned him when he committed that unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that nearly cost us a trip to the SB.

I really don't care about K9's not attending the ring ceremony. It's a personal decision of his and none of my business. If it were me, I wouldn't miss it unless there were a hugely compelling reason. It's in all probability a once in a lifetime event for him. But the fact that he hasn't come out and explained his absence leads his coaches, teammates, and fans to speculate as to his motivation.

Mafe, Riq, and Cody didn't win MVP and weren't singled out by Schneider in his public tease/praise/humiliation.

Maybe his former coaches and former teammates already know why he didn't make it, and maybe he doesn't feel the need to publicly explain what's going on in his private life because, as you said, it's none of our business.

We really don't know.

Maybe, maybe not. That's what he gets for not coming out and explaining it, that you and me will speculate and come up with our own reasons for his absence. IMO it has all the signatures of a butt hurt, and that's what I choose to believe.

The ring ceremony got me to thinking about who was there and who wasn’t. I thought I heard a few weeks ago that K9 would be there. If he was or wasn’t, no big deal either way.

What I’m wondering about, was the ceremony just for the 2025 team members, staff etc? Or, because they are essentially in OTA season, did free agents and draft picks get invited too? I can see this both ways. The 2025 roster and staff earned the rings so it’s their party. But were there a couple tables in the back for the new guys to see what’s happening and maybe light a little fire under them so that they can get themselves one next year? Motivation comes in many different ways.
If I was just added to the team and saw what my new teammates were getting, I sure as shit would want to do everything in my power to get one too!

They did a Cruise for the rookies with seahawks legends during the ceremony.

We have a high class organization here folks.

Yeah. I mean K9 wouldn't need to explain what is going on in his private life.

If all he said was that he had a personal matter to attend to which is why he couldn't make it, then that's all he needed. 🤷‍♂️

Him staying quiet like River pointed out simply makes people not in-the-know connect-the-dots to form their own opinions that are not based on any known fact (like we're all doing here).

Then again, I think we could also be more worked up about this than the Seahawks players themselves.

I echo the Charizard-loving person's comment : I can't wait for the offseason to be over.

Obviously you can choose to believe whatever you want. I'm the kind of person that tends to give people the benefit of the doubt unless there's a compelling reason not to. I very much doubt K9 gives a rip about our uniformed opinions regarding his personal life anyway.

He is so out of touch. If he didn’t split carries, he wouldn’t have had the energy and health required to go off in the playoffs and superbowl. What a selfish prick. Glad he’s gone
I always liked him, but he is an IR casualty every year but the one when he had THE chance to be a Champ, and get paid BANK. I predict a slow fade into football middle age production. He was lucky at the right time in the rignt place. RESPECT, but NFL stands for Not For Long.

I think he will have a career year in KC. They don't really have a big name back up. He should get ample opportunity in the red zone which was more relegated to Charbs
