Clutch.. just not everyday consistent... Maybe a fair trade off? He won't be back next year.. and he will be missed as a long tenured player for sure.JP with two homers and the winning run. Guy isn't slashing well outside of tonight but manages to stay relevant.
Wouldn't mind having him back as a utility infielder. Reduced salary, of course, but BA aside, he's been a good man to have around.Clutch.. just not everyday consistent... Maybe a fair trade off? He won't be back next year.. and he will be missed as a long tenured player for sure.

JP has always been one of my favorite Mariners. He comes through more often than not it seems in big spots. Total Team guy all the way around…deserves his props
Thus the part of my post where I said "stay relevant".His BA isn't pretty, but the rest of his numbers are solid to good. His on base, slug, and OPS are quite a bit better than Naylor and Young, and as is always the case with JP, his on base % is one of the best on the team. I also think it's worth noting that he's 3rd on the team in HR's so far, behind only Julio and Raley.
