He’s not going to last the season is he? My guess is Cade Anderson will take his spot at some point right?

He’s the classic case of power pitcher who falls off a cliff once his velocity goes down.

No need to wait for Anderson. Castillo might get replaced sooner than that once Bryce Miller is back.

Castillo has been struggling overall. Tonight is a weather night, so some allowance for that, but the other guy is doing well, so... 🤷‍♂️ He's not so much El Pietro so far this season.

Would like to see him do well enough to get something for him in trade at the deadline.

Not convinced they'll bring Cade up so soon. Hancock is doing well and Miller is on his rehab assignment and looks like he'll be ready when we get back from this road trip. Embarrassment of riches.

Disappointing start to the series in the rain. Castillo is throwing very hittable balls these days. Gave up 7 runs in 5.

Cal still working his HR swing with a 2 run dinger, but also still k'ng too much. His avg has risen above the Mendoza line, but needs more work.

Weather supposed to be better for the rest of the series. Maybe that will help.

Oh, and a shoutout to Hoppe on his major league debut. K'd the first 3 guys he faced, but then struggled a bit to get through the next inning. But still a memorable night for him.

Ouch. Wish that would have been rained out instead :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Hate to say it about The Rock, but he looks to be done. That was a fast drop off. I wonder how much they tried to trade him in the off season, when he actually at least had some value. He's a hell of a good dude; it just looks like he's toast. Hope I'm wrong. Like someone mentioned, trade him at the deadline. IF he turns it around a little.
Oh well, get that Dub today.

Admittedly I don't watch a lot of other teams, but the Mariners are very aggravating to watch with a runner at 3b & less than 2 outs. It seems like they NEVER get a run in. Cal has no problem flying out with nobody on base, but loves to whiff instead of getting that Sac Fly. It' seems to be a team problem. They constantly fail to get easy runs, where the opposition frequently nickel & dimes them to death.

Looks like the bats came alive again. Julio with 3 doubles, Cole Young with a 3 hit night. That was fun!

Hell yes. Like I have said before....I couldn't worry about Julio or Naylor if I tried. Just a matter of time before they get locked in.

Nice bounce back win. Chance for the series win tomorrow. Remember, day game tomorrow.

Our bullpen is better than their bullpen. Pitchers duel through 6, then our hitters blasted their pen late.

Big bats are ripping. Naylor 3-5 with a 3 run dinger. Julio with 3 doubles. Cal with on 0-fer, though. :(

All we really need honestly... is a third baseman.... can we call up Emerson yet? Dude has been tearing it up. Are they really that hesitant to play him at 3rd in the MLB? He's been doing soley SS in the minors so far
