If you have to lose in the playoffs, would you...

...rather have Denver or NE's season?

New England's ride included the softest of soft schedules, ugly playoff wins, and utter annihilation in the championship to claim the most SB losses in history. If there was ever a team with a Super Bowl hangover looming in their future, this is one. However, they made it to the dance, they get to hang another AFC Champion banner, and maybe the experience of going to the Super Bowl will be an invaluable edge down the road.

Denver got in on an outrageous number of close wins, punctuated with another spectacular game against a good Buffalo team, before Nix's injury essentially ended their run. Nevertheless, no banner. Fans will remember what could have been. Rafters and history books won't care.

Personally, I'm not sure NE's exit is worth it for a conference championship. The SB loss itself probably won't break the team but add a couple years of not coming close to matching year one? That might. Denver probably isn't winning a SB either, but I like their chances more. That seems more important than the banner to me. Regardless, which would you take?

Well I knew it after I watched the NE Denver game the Rams, 49ers, and us were the best teams, we played 4 Superbowls this year, and 3 Division Championships, one in Santa Clara one in LA, two at home, Conference Championships, 2 in Seattle one in Santa Clara. The impact and drama and tension of the games against the Rams and 49ers I think was much more elevated, New England it seemed were toyed with compared to the games we played with or own division rivals.

We came out and set the pace and tone against New England and never really had to elevate past what we started with, our other 6 games it kept getting ratchetted up, the intensity and level of play by all was better I think, not taking away anything from our Seahawks, but it was a different level to me.

When we lost in the Super Bowl, I didn't wish we had lost in the NFC Championship Game instead.
I think for me as a 49ers fan the championship losses are better than Superbowl losses. Especially because all 3 superbowl losses were so close. It sucks getting that close and losing. Would have been better to be blown out

There are 31 losers and only 1 winner

Sure winning isn’t everything but losing sure does suck

In terms of a competitive matchup I think the Bills out of the AFC would have provided a more compelling final.

Too bad for them.

Well so far most Mediots except for one I saw on ESPN and other places are not even picking us to win our division let alone be in the Superbowl next year, love affair with the Rams continues, oh and odds are pick one Broncos, Cheifs or Bills and not the Patriots either.

I doubt the Chiefs are doing much next year with Mahomes out for most of it. Guessing they retool. They'll probably lose guys like McDuffie and Kelce too. Bills could be good if they figure out their defense. Broncos is hard to tell, they had a lot of close wins this year, is that sustainable?

I would still pick the chiefs but their idiots for not respecting the hawks
