I wager he'll be on the field plenty this Sunday, but even if he doesn't...
No boot after imaging? Yah…it’s a sprain.
He’s playing. He’s walking on it AFTER hitting the hospital. No boot…no crutches…no wheelchair.
Thus…welcome back to the bowl Demmonworri.
2 things are about to happen:
1. Nick will play in the SB
2. He still gets a ring
Folks are saying that’s after the hospital.Looks like just a minor sprain. If he just came from the doc and had tests done and is walking without a boot or crutches, it's not broken and likely not even a high ankle sprain. With high ankle sprains you still usually get a tight wrap, brace or similar and are required to not place pressure on it.
I just don't know if that vid was after their practices or after the hospital.
Let’s hope it gets better https://x.com/new_era72/status/2019331886997557445?s=46
I agree. He’s walking on his own, carrying his own bag. It’s a mild sprain and with some tape and toradol he will be ready to go. Not worried.Looks like just a minor sprain. Isn't that shit screwing athletes up later in life?I agree. He’s walking on his own, carrying his own bag. It’s a mild sprain and with some tape and toradol he will be ready to go. Not worried.
I don't know much about it so I'm the last person who should be giving an opinion lol but I doubt using something like that a couple of times a year would have much lasting effects. I think the guys who take it every week for weeks on end year after year though are doing some damage. I think like most things if used sparingly its probably not a big deal. That's a non medical opinion though so take it with a grain of salt.Isn't that shit screwing athletes up later in life?
He's not the only one who will be doing shots before and during half time.I watched the video of him getting out of the SUV and walk into the Hotel. Here's what I think.
From a Massage Therapist's point of view: With him walking on it, it's probably taped up to reduce swelling. He'll have orders to treat it with the old Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation and be back early tomorrow for rehab on it. I'm guessing from the movement, he rolled it pretty good. (I've done that playing softball.) It will be stiff and sore this morning, but Physical Therapy will help. He didn't need crutches or other assistance. The fact that he's walking back to the hotel by himself to me is big. He'll be sore, but I don't think he'll miss the big game. Might have a couple of shots before and at half-time. And he may be on a snap count.
This is the silver lining, if there is one. He’s that big of an impact that they’d have to develop a plan-b if he doesn’t play.Silver lining is that this gives NE one more thing to plan for. And it's not a small thing to script a plan for an Emmanwori-less Hawks D vs one with him.
I was kind of thinking something along those lines. There are only 3 games worth of tape when we played without Nick and Vrabel will now having to add that contingency to their game planning (assuming he hasn't already). I would think having to now do that at the last minute is nothing but a pain in the ass. I'd also imagine Macdonald will use this to his advantage as much as possible.Silver lining is that this gives NE one more thing to plan for.
